Bachmann Waves Wand: Suddenly Sarah Palin is Yesterday

Sarah is in danger of becoming only the second most disgusting Republican woman who wants to be president.

Bachmann’s performance in New Orleans tonight was pure (if there is any such thing) Palin, from vicious attacks on Obama down to calling male attention to her underwear.

Referring to the recent New Hampshire debate, she said:

I didn’t know if they were going to ask boxers or briefs – a girl never knows.”

It’s reported that she got a standing ovation for that line.  Which figures, given her audience.

If you look at my most recent post, you’ll see I mention that an informed source told me recently that the one thing most likely to draw Sarah into the race would be Bachmann claiming her turf as GOP’s new sexpot loudmouth provocateur.

Memo to Sarah: it’s happenin’, babe. By Labor Day your theme song could be from the Beatles:

Now I need a place to hide away,
Oh, I believe in yesterday.

We’re not halfway through 2011 yet and already Bachmann is the Sarah Palin of 2012.

Will our gal just sit back and let that happen?

Stay tuned.

A year ago, Sarah’s worst problem was having me for a neighbor—though it was a problem only in her own disordered mind.

Now she’s at risk of sinking into the quicksand pit of obscurity that consumes used up political hucksters who haven’t noticed that they’re no longer tomorrow’s main course at the banquet, but only yesterday’s breakfast.

It happens fast, Sarah.  Just like your arrival from nowhere happened fast.

By next year you could be doing Sunday morning infomercials for “Sarah Palin Scottsdale SPF 100 Sun Block.”

I wonder if she’s placed an advance order for THE ROGUE.

Probably she’s hoping for a free copy.

It won’t come from me.

Even the version shown to magazines this week for possible first serial excerpt in advance of Sept. 20 publication was redacted.

Just like the Palin emails.

There are revelations in the book that Random House/Crown just won’t risk having leaked prematurely.

Let me put it this way:  if Sarah doesn’t announce her 2012 decision before Sept. 20 when THE ROGUE is published, I predict she won’t run.

And I know why.

Joe, I love the chase! Hate to have to wait 3 more months though.

Come on Joe! At least give us a hint!

Also, although there are definite basic similarities with $P and MB, Palin is on another level. I may disagree with MB’s politics and worldview, but at least she’s sincere. She was also a legit lawyer. And unlike Snowdrift Snooki, MB attempts to live out her faith. She has genuine love for her foster kids, and doesn’t use them as a prop.

Palin isn’t a Christian. She has zero understanding of Jesus’ principle teaching, which is that all people are in desperate need for grace. And God will give it to all those who seek it. And it is the mission of Christians to show that grace to others. Palinism = antiGrace.

Well, Rick Perry may come out and burst their balloons. He is inquiring about the Iowa caucuses.

    http://caucuses.desmoinesregister.com/2011/06/17/perry-gives-hint-hes-interested-in-2012-run/

“They were reacting to Friday’s news that a political adviser for the Texas governor said he intends to check out the rules for the Iowa caucuses and explore whether any campaign staff are available – just in case Perry decides to seek the 2012 nomination.”

In case Perry runs, I urge everyone to read this ten part series below on Perry’s corruption and pass it on.

I will stick to my long-standing opinion that she won’t run. I believe she never intended to. Her key driving force? You nailed it in your previous post: “Expect the tease to continue until Sarah has sucked the last egg out of the golden goose.” The quest for fame and fortune coupled with the fear of her many skeletons lurking to bust out of her closets will be her downfall and she knows it.

P.S. Nice marketing tease: “And I know why.”

  • sallyngarland,tx:

There’s more than this, too. He will figure in this 2012 election in some way with Bachmann & Palin so I am passing along this info. The House in Texas voted to privatize Medicaid and Medicare, so please read about this man. He is ruining
    Texas.

I’m a huge Hockey fan and I’m in morning I have to wait 3 + months for it to return, but I need to add “The Rogue” to my list of Autumn Dreams I can’t wait for!

Hey Joe, have you ever had a chat with Shailey Tripp? Just curious! 🙂

  • Lainey:

palin peaked halfway thru her 2-1/2 year media blitz…bachmann would have to fizzle before next year’s election for us to be safe. I think having ‘experienced’ palin first, makes it doable. we’re on to you bachmann.

  • Beth deris:

With this wacky bunch I can see Bachmann if she would win the Republican nominee selecting Palin as VP , Oh what a ticket that would be.What is wrong with our country that these wacko’s are elected. One thing that really makes me mad is they try to throw their religion onto us. I don’t need them to tell me what religion to be We pay them, they work for us, I don’t need a dictator in my life and I will not have one.

  • dlbvet:

Joe…I’m just so curious. Did Sarah Palin really truly mow her lawn in shorts/tank top/Trig in a backpack? I just can’t seem to make that work in my mind.
    Is that in your book?
Which I have pre-ordered mind you. Just finished Bailey’s book and am waiting on my husband to finish Dunn’s so I can get my hands on that one!!
So…back to my question. Does she really mow the lawn?

  • Dis Gusted:

I’m glad Bachmann pushed SP off stage. Bachmann has her own problems and lots of them. She wasn’t much of a tax attorney for the IRS. She only ever had ONE case. It was a Native American who worked a non-profit company and made $10K per year. Bachmann sued him for $3K. That’s it. That’s the extent of her expertise.

She went to Oral Roberts. At one time she claimed she had an LLM from William & Mary, but that has since been removed from her web page because it was not true.

She was paid to take in 23 pregnant girls in 6 years from 1992-1998. They stayed with her during their pregnancies. It is not clear if they were allowed to keep their babies or if the babies were placed with in adoptions through Bachmann’s church. That is not exactly ‘raising’ children. That’s called warehousing and she was paid good money for it.

  • Marie:

Joe, Sept. cannot come soon enough!

  • newmeximan:

I keep checking the $arahPAC website for the first quarter filing for 2011. Still none, and they have yet to respond to the letter from the FEC requesting more information on the year end report for 2010. Could be there are be audited. That should be fun, since they had $800K they could not place in categories for 2010.

Don’t you wish you could listen to the GOP leadership when they gather to plan for the 2012 campaigns. “Is this really the best we have?” Any American with an IQ over 80 knows Regan would now be considered a RHINO. The last man with any personal honor they ran was Eisenhower. The corporate greed has bled over from the lobbyists, and has destroyed the GOP

  • Older_Wiser:

Well, Quitler and Bristle have gotten approval to trademark their names, so a future at Home Shopping Network could be in her future. Although, they could very well go into the product franchising business if she runs, I suppose. Anything Quitler and her brood do, it will be for money, not for the country. http://politicalgates.blogspot.com/2011/06/ak-republican-jay-ramras-says-that.html

  • SusanC:

I never thought she was going to run. I do think she’ll keep up the Dance of the Seven Veils as long as possible in order to ensure that her brand remains commercially viable for as long as possible.

  • MC3031:

You really think Grifty will settle for a VP spot now?? Puhlease! she will never, ever do that. She had her one shot at being second banana and now wants all the limelight.

I also think she won’t run but will keep the question floating out there for the $$$$. Rachel Maddow had a good segment the other night about candidates who run in order to make more money on the speaking circuit. Look at Newty. That’s all he’s doing.

What a farce our political system has become. Just a big mess.

  • Sally:

I always wondered about her ’23 foster children’ claim, since there are no pictures of any of them through the years appearing with her or her husband. If they were pregnant teens, that explains it. I’m sure they were treated like the little darlings the Bachmanns felt them to be: useful for the children they would produce for the Christian cause. Disgusting is right.

  • Sally:

Good Lord. My son recently moved his family from Michigan (where we are dealing with Herr Snyder and his evil plans) to Texas, and I keep worrying about what he has gotten into. They have two small kids, and I sincerely hope they move back before they are school age, or that Mom and Dad keep on top of things and do a lot of teaching real facts at home. These people want to dismantle all public services, including education. They have to be stopped in 2012, or the US will cease ton exist as a democracy.

  • wiscoal:

What’s totally ridiculous is how the Media keeps talking about how well Congresswoman Nutty Pants did at the debate. Talk about setting the expectation bar low! She did well because she speaks in complete sentences? Uses nouns verbs and adjectives correctly? Looked pretty? This is how well Ms Quitty Pants has lowered the presidential material bar when someone like Michelle Bachmann passes as a potential POTUS!

  • Linda1961:

    Brilliant!

  • Pat Padrnos:

That was good – and you are pretty sharp for it being so early in the morn.

  • TruGal:

Bill Maher hit the nail on the head on last night’s “Real Time”. He said both Bachmann and Palin are batshit crazy, but the difference is that Bachmann isn’t MEAN. That’s probably my biggest objection to Sarah Palin…I knew girls like her in high school….troublemakers, whiny “victims”, instigators, tone-deaf to anyone different from themselves….it’s simply amazing that Palin has ALL of those qualities still. She’s a cornucopia of hate.

  • Mrs. Doubtpalin:

But last night on Maher,Matthews was going on about Bachmann getting the nomination–and “she raised 23 foster children” which is really sumpin’ .It was just like when David Gregory ooohed an ahhhed about the wonderwoman and her wild ride, giving birth and going right back to work, while breast feeding?!@#! Are these men really that naive? Don’t they have wives and daughters and mothers !! to set them straight?!

  • *THE LOVING CANADIAN HUSBAND*

A man had two of the best tickets for the Stanley Cup Final. As he sits down, another man comes along and asks if anyone is sitting in the seat next to him.

“No”, he says, “the seat is empty.”

“This is incredible!” said the man, “who in their right mind would have a seat like this for the Stanley Cup Final, the biggest sporting event of the year, and not use it?”

He says, “Well, actually, the seat belongs to me. My wife was supposed to come with me but she passed away. This is the first Cup Final we haven’t attended together since we got married.”

“Oh… I’m sorry to hear that. That’s terrible. I guess you couldn’t find someone else, a friend or relative or even a neighbour to take the seat?”

    The man shakes his head…

“No… They’re all at the funeral.”

  • SCmommy:

DOH! Way to leave us hangin’, Joe! I feel like a kid who needs to make a paper chain to count down the days!

Here’s the question–if she’s already announced, how damaging will your revelations be??? Enough to take her out of the running? (say yes, say yes, say yes….)

    Keeping my fingers crossed!

  • lftismygame:

Joe, How long would it take you to whip up a book on Bachmann?

  • mxm:

PAC reports will be filed by July 15. Only in federal election years are quarterly reports required. Romney typically reports much more often, cause he is a show off and collects big bucks.

  • jk:

That story was pure Sarah Palin bullshit.

She was cultivating her sexy, hardworkin’, grizzly mama persona, not her lawn.

  • jk:

They must have just fallen off the turnip truck. You would hope Maher and Matthews would have learned from their many years covering politicians that you can’t take a Republican on his or her word.

  • lilly lily:

Similar story to how she jogged with Trig in a special (they borrowed one?) backpack for a running story. She also said she sang to him as she ran.

Christ, Palins piles it on thick doesn’t she?

Joe, you forgot to add ™ to the “Sarah Palin Scottsdale SPF 100 Sun Block.” should be ““Sarah Palin™ Scottsdale SPF 100 Sun Block.”
Brisket & her just got TM’d…

  • Bretta:

I am not Joe but I know
    $arah Palin doesn’t have a lawn.

The backyard is covered with broken-down snowmachines and rusty dead cars with trees growing through them, unusable airplane parts and fishing gear. The front yard is a cement pad with a prop table supplied by the Discovery-show film crew, and a dock with a tie-up for the plane. There is no garden. No toys, either, for the fictional Yeti known as Tri-G, the prop baby from 2008, now merely a phantom.

$arah’s biggest problem for a 2012 Prezinential Run is what shoes to wear – just kidding – it’s how to pop out another prop baby without anyone catching on that Bristol $arah is pregnant.

Oh, also, too, Bristol $arah’s new prop is a brown baby, hence the tours to Haiti, some Los Angeles Charity-with-Kyle-Massey and Sudan, for the fake adoption.

  • Melly:

F’ing delicious, Joe. Looking forward to the day. Melly™

  • akvoter:

Joe, you rascal! Here I’ve been blaming $P as the tease!!! Writing from Alaska and certainly do not want to hurry summer along, but….. Sept 20 beckons!

  • curious:

The Grifter would NEVER be second fiddle to MB. Just never happen.

  • msf:

Oh my word, that’s interesting information. I knew of the 23 foster children & knew they were girls, but didn’t know they were pregnant. Do you realize how much it costs to adopt a baby, especially a “white” baby. I would say in the neighborhood of $15,000. I knew there was a method in their madness just didn’t know what it was. So the Bachmann’s double dipped. Got paid for the foster children & for the adoptions.

  • Olivia:

Don’t be too impressed by Batshit Bachmann’s law degree. She got it from Oral Roberts U, which lost it’s accreditation shortly after. She claims she got her LLM in tax law at William and Mary, a school which only offers an LL.M Program for “Foreign Students”. William & Mary’s ONLY LL.M program is titled: “LL.M in American Law.” not Tax Law.

  • Elaine:

I am so pleased that you pointed this out. I think with just a few minor differences, Sarah and Michelle are two peas in a pod, hopefully the people will realize this as time goes on. I say beware of both of these women. I wish I had more faith in the average voter’s intelligence and their memories and that goes for both sides of the 49th parallel.

Rag I saw at the supermarket, implies Franklyn Graham and Sarah Palin are…..??? Let us say interested.

Well they can see each other in Darfur or Khartum, or wherever they next convene.

Frankly he always looked besotted with her, from the Native drop to the meeting with his father, to Haiti..

Why would she be hanging around Haiti and going to Darfur when we know she is not a humanitarian and doesn’t care for anything but white meat.

If they are indeed an ahem,”item”, the novel will be hotter and hotter when she finally writes a “Thorn Bird”. in Alaska, or will it be “Hot lust in Arizona.” or “The Mile High Club Romance.”.

Clergy are such a tempting target.

I see Bristol is implying, but not outright saying that Levi took cruel advantage of a drunken virgin in a tent out camping in Alaska. And why was a young virgin allowed out camping with a hormone raging teenage male?

  • carollt:

The best thing that Michele Bachmann ever did was to hire Ed Rollins as a consultant on her Presidential campaign and that hire is already paying dividends. She is being respresented as Sarah Palin with a brain, a Sarah Palin type that can speaks in proper sentences, who has appeared on any number of news shows, including Meet the Press, outside of FOX news.

There are other differences as well. Michele Bachmann has five children, but she does not use them as props for her campaign. I believe that her children, unlike Mrs. Palin’s have high school diplomas and have attended college. Mrs. Bachmann has a law degree and can prove it (unlike Sarah who has never released her actual degree – I would say because she doesn’t have one).

Mrs. Bachmann held her own against the other Republicans at the New Hampshire debate. Sure she has crazy ideas, but no more crazy than the other Republicans on stage. Sarah Palin is actually crazy, suffering from some sort of mental illness – not sure what.

And now Mrs. Bachmann is getting some serious attention from the media; a fact that I am sure is driving Sarah Palin crazy. In a recent interview on FOX, I heard old Sarah put down Michele when asked by touting the fact that only she has exeuctive experience. It was quite obvious that Sarah no longer feels the love for Michele.

No doubt about it; Michele is the new darling of the media. It also does not hurt that Michele actually grants interviews to members of the press and does not play games by careening down the highway at unsafe speeds on phony bus trips to nowhere. She has done much work in Iowa and has been a very sucessful fundraiser.

Thanks to Michele, Sarah is fading away in the minds of many voters as not knowing much; and as one who quit her term as governor in mid-stream for the money.

Better get going Sarah; your former BFF Michele is seriously kicking your ass.

  • This was posted yesterday, she certainly didn’t “raise” twenty three foster children in three years. http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-20072121-503544.html

  • If this is true Joe, then let her throw her hat in the race and waste her money.

  • And does this sound just like Sarah, bring the kids out then say they are off bounds?

Asked how long they lived with her, she said “it varied.”

I asked Bachmann to explain the parameters of how long the children lived with her – was it as short as one week? As long as three years?

“It varied, it really varied depending on the children,” Bachmann responded. “And we’ve never gotten into specifics about the children because we’ve always wanted to observe their privacy and that of their families. As I’m sure you can appreciate.”

  • msf:

Right oh. I believe that “Doctor’ Bachmann also received his degree/s online.

  • msf:

I knew it, I knew it, I knew it. He was my guess from the last NE teaser. There was a strange chemistry between the two when they were in Africa. God knows they were doing nothing to benefit the sick & starving children there, but there seemed to be a flirtation going on. Ugh, just ugh.

  • Justsayin:

No offense Joe but I seriously doubt Sarah is waiting with baited breath to read ANY book about her penned by another author. She knows her truth and her family’s truth, which is more than I Can say for anyone who blogs or gossips about them or her.

  • curious:

I’m sure MB’s coming on strong has been grinding on Sara. Add in the new information coming from a variety of sources and she’s scrambling for sure. Now we have Brisket’s book coming out and she’s already taking hits for the inconsistencies between what’s in the book and on public record and unlike her mother she doesn’t have the teflon coating that many of us are still trying to understand. Hence, she and her daughter are going to keep being under pressure. The next three months before Joe’s book comes out are going to be filled with more news and the GOP hasn’t even weighed in yet, as they surely will

  • curious:

I can appreciate not wanting to say something like “Sally Smith was a pregnant 15 year old who lived with us for the last three months of her pregnancy” but there’s nothing sacred or identifying about some general parameters like two weeks to four month. Instead she plays the “privacy” card and gets away with it. Sara? Watching and listening? You getting scared yet? She’s stealing your thunder

Scrumptious! I’ve never been so eager for a book to be released or so interested in one’s potential impact, which I suspect will extend well beyond Palin, and shake up her political, religious, and media enablers and the public, as well.

  • B:

Although most LLM students are foreign (because a typical foreign law degree is not a graduate degree and because they want the credential to work in the US or in jobs dealing with the US), most LLM programs also admit Americans with law degrees who want to upgrade the prestige of their JDs. An Oral Roberts grad could use that help. She may have taken mostly tax law courses, but that doesn’t make it an LLM in Tax Law like NYU’s, etc.

Didn’t the Oral Roberts law school, made famous by Anita Hill who now works at a real school, move to Regent U.–or whatever Pat Robertson’s school is in Virginia? The employee at the formerly nonpartisan Justice Dept., who broke the law by using political and non-gay criteria for hiring, was a recent grad of that law school.

What is wrong with our country is that we allowed Dominionists to seep in to every facet of the political structure, and it started with our local school boards. I am so angry at Anchorage & Alaskan voters for allowing the likes of Don Smith, Dan Sullivan, Adam Trombley, Sean Parnell, Sarah Palin, Joe Miller, to get anywhere near public offices. They are all Dominionists, with the possible exception of the first two which are pandering to the Dominionists. Look at Congress…Bachmann, the whole K Street/Family contingent…This is why women’s rights are being eroded, why Medicare, Medicaid, & Social Security are at risk, etc. Why worry about the poor and oppressed when you are so assured of being raptured the hell out of this place!

Don’t be too hard on yourself.

This was all part of Karl Rove’s plan to re-make American government.

It took great patience — he knew it might take decades …

… craftiness — convincing thousands of every-day evangelicals to “save Christianity” by gaining public office, even if only as unpaid School Board members, and to keep their wackier religious beliefs quiet during any election processes …

… and money — like campaign funds channelled to these closet-evangelical candidates by PACs.

As a result, Rove has succeeded in poisoning American government to the point of de-stabilizing it by tearing it apart along religious lines … all in order to feed his addiction to power.

Yet another Sara fib. I assume she’d use a gas-powered lawnmower. (She’d never use an old-fashioned person-powered rotary mower, she’d think it is too granola-eating commie.) How loud are those mowers? Super loud. No sane mother would have a small baby walking with one of those things. The child would wail the whole time, even if said child had a hearing impairment and wasn’t wearing his hearing aides.
