Doesn’t ANYONE like Sarah any more?//UPDATE: Actually, yes, this one poor sap still worships her

Those who once worshiped her are not just abandoning her sinking ship, they’re detonating explosives on board as they jump.

The latest is former George W. Bush speechwriter David Frum.

In a new column in The Week, titled “Lessons Learned from the Palin debacle”, Frum writes:

Over the past three years, Palin has systematically laid waste to the basis for a presidential campaign. By her own words and actions, she has discredited herself and alienated her one-time supporters.

But before Palin vanishes into her hard-earned obscurity, Republicans need an assessment and an accounting. Had John McCain won in 2008, we would have put an incompetent, deceitful, and vengeful person second in line to the presidency.

And here’s how David Frum describes himself, on his Wikipedia page:

“I’m a conservative Republican, have been all my adult life. I volunteered for the Reagan campaign in 1980. I’ve attended every Republican convention since 1988. I was president of the Federalist Society chapter at my law school, worked on the editorial page of The Wall Street Journal and wrote speeches for President Bush—not the “Read My Lips” Bush, the “Axis of Evil” Bush. I served on the Giuliani campaign in 2008 and voted for John McCain.”

So David Frum, who voted for Sarah for vice president now calls her “incompetent, deceitful, and vengeful.”

With friends like those, Sarah, you don’t need to worry about THE ROGUE or me.

The truth is that Sarah has no friends any more. She has no political allies. She has no supporters.

Her greed, her blatant stupidity and her malevolent personality have driven them all away.

She’s painted herself into a corner from which she cannot escape. The poison she’s spewed throughout her public and private adult life is now seeping back into that corner, and poor little Sarah has nowhere to hide.

Karl Rove said today he still thinks Sarah will enter the race.

I thought so myself until quite recently, when I realized she was too cowardly to do so.

THE ROGUE will be published on Sept. 20, not much more than a month from now.

For months, the people at Crown Publishing and I have been preparing for what we viewed as the inevitable attacks on the book and on me from the right.

Now it seems as if we didn’t need to make the effort.

As David Frum’s column emphasizes, even right wing Republicans have now seen through the rhinestone glitter to the emptiness that lies at the core of Sarah Palin.

THE ROGUE, nonetheless, should remain required reading for generations of political leaders from both parties, just as THE SELLING OF THE PRESIDENT has been since 1969.

The message: read the ingredients before you buy, or sell.

Sarah Palin was the most artificial concoction that the political hucksters ever tried to sell to the American people.

And were it not for Barack Obama’s dignity and skill and integrity as a presidential candidate, we might now have a spiteful, demented Christian dominionist within a heartbeat of the leadership of our country.

THE ROGUE will show you what a bullet we dodged.

Let’s hope we never come that close to losing our democracy again.

UPDATE:

I have found someone who still worships Sarah.  His name is Eric Golub, and he describes himself as “a politically conservative Jewish blogger, author, public speaker, and comedian.”

The Washington Times has just published his account of “Meeting Sarah Palin–live and in the flesh.”

You really have to read it to believe it.

  • GinaM:

Yes Joe…she’s DONEZO! That’s a word my husband made up! LOL!

  • she's a fraud, folks:

    It’s really pretty simple.

Sarah Palin is a liar, quitter, hypocrite and fraud.

We have known this for a long, long time. It’s only recently that Republicans are finally waking up to this absolute truth.

  • Pamela:

John McCain will never, ever admit that he unleashed this horrific monster upon us. May he fry in hell for all eternity, hero schmero my ass!

  • krbmjb05:

The only thing that has saved us is that she is truly Lady Lucifer! She is evil incarnate! She can hide behind the cross all she wants, but she has 666 tatoo’d on her forehead!

  • Beth:

I used to have a grudging respect for John McCain. After the 2008 campaign, and his unleashing of Palin upon the national scene, I lost every shred of respect I had for him. He claims to love his country. Anyone who truly does would never have put this bobblehead one step away from the presidency.

  • msf:

You know, if we never heard another word from Sarah Palin (unlikely) the damage she has done to this country in the past few years with her racist hate speeches & bashing our president at every chance will always remain with us. If I recall, prior to being chosen for VP she kind of liked Obama. It would appear that this was all about money & narcissism. Your book will always be relevant as a reminder of what one deranged woman can do. Also a special shout out to those who used her insane hate rage to make sure our president & our country could not move forward. Such selfish, greedy people.

  • mxm:

What took them so long, it was not difficult to see?

But I fear it is a lot like the popular song from a couple years back…..”who let the dogs out”.

Now we have to round them back up and send them back to the kennel.

  • H.E.W.:

Whether or not she runs, Palin has a free, 24/7 publicity service called conservatives for Palin. She has Fox news to pay her millions while she spouts any nonsensical trash without accountability. She has a publishing company that will accept any crap her ghost writer submits. Hate her all you want;she has power to keep going without any run for the presidency. 700 Club and QVC, here comes Sarah with a brand new batch of red white and blue cross pins…

  • curiouser:

I was happy to get an email from Amazon several days ago saying I’ll have ‘The Rogue’ at my doorstep and ready to start reading on Sept. 20. I’ve never looked forward to a book release as much as this one.

  • Ratfishtim:

    The “Undefeated” has been “refudiated.”

It’s about time the American people woke up to what Alaskans learned the hard way- The QUITTER is like the Wizard of Oz in another universe- the real creature is under wraps behind a curtain until exposed.

Palin is sick, deceitful and extraordinarily vindictive. No slight is too small for her to ignore, nor is any lie too small for her to tell.

  • Arapaho 415:

Agree with MXM @2:36 am (what time zone is this blog in? I think it’s 3:xx am in London now.)

By Nov 2008, it was evident that Palin was not qualified to be a heartbeat away from the Presidency. The 2008 election was the only one I was truly terrified of the potential results. Boy, did I heave a sigh of relief that the election wasn’t close and wouldn’t end up with the Supreme Court!

  • Cackling Rad:

So many of them have piled on her in the last few days that I think they’ve been given the green light by someone (oh, dear; does that make me sound like a conspiracy nut?). Remember when anyone saying anything even vaguely critical of Sarah had to come out and publicly humiliate themselves with an apology? That kind of power didn’t come from Sarah; it came from whoever was behind her, and that Power is no longer in her corner.

But so far Frum is the only one who has had the courage and honesty to come out and admit that she was a disaster from the beginning, and that unless they openly acknowledge that fact the Republicans will have wrecked lasting harm on the American political system. I’m seeing too many of them still trying to cover their asses with the usual nonsense about Katie and her Gotcha questions, and the media being so hard and unfair to the poor damsel.

Until the American public and the press have the courage to tell the ugly truth about a politician even when she’s a pretty woman with kids, this nation is going to be very, vulnerable to Sarah, Version Two.

  • KCF:

Sarah may not have been the first, but she has definitely been one of the more prominent divisive politicians to come along since 2008. Never in my life have I seen our country this divided along party lines. Suddenly, we’re not a nation anymore, but two adversaries battling to be The Winner. Sarah perpetuated this with her “Lamestream Media” (anyone but Fox, and only certain pundits on Fox), lies about “palling around with terrorists” and “death panels”.

I blame her in part for unleashing (and often promoting) like-minded Tea Party politicians such as Bachmann on us. Who are these extreme right-wing people? I’ve voted Republican many times in the past, but they were never like this. Santorum and his belief that victims of rape should carry their attacker’s offspring to term (GOP debates), Bachmann and her overzealous hatred for Obama, Eric Cantor… Boehner… Rand Paul…

The Tea Party had their “big victory” during the midterms, and we were promised JOBS JOBS JOBS and Less Government, and as soon as they were in office, they did a 180 and focused on social issues and “doing anything to stop Obama”.

And all the while, Sarah was busy selling herself… books, Fox News contributor, reality shows, paid appearances… and if that well runs dry, then let’s hop on a bus and “surprisingly” show up where there is Tea Party or GOP news.

I don’t begrudge the woman for making a quick buck. This is America, Land of Opportunity. I just wish she didn’t drag our Nation down in her insatiable pursuit of fame and money.

  • Tservo:

To be fair, David Frum soured in Palin quite some time ago.
He wrote some very entertaining reviews of Palin’s notorious cable TV reality show.
Ever since Frum got fired from the Heritage Foundation for having a mind- and opinion- of his own, he’s been outspoken opponent of Sarah Palin.

  • Natalie:

It’s not just Frum saying this. Hehehehehe… I’m just plain giddy over the Repub backlash to $P!

  • Psalm023:

I thank God that he answered the nation’s sincere prayers. America has been blessed. It’s been rescued from a Palin vice presidency – am trying to imagine a President McCain being daily briefed on SP’s crazymaking. Him having to cope with the nation’s serious business and having to deal with an uncooperative next-in-command. With her pathology, easy to imagine the WH inner turmoil that she’d cause. Divisive, unruly, jealous. Staff would leave and need constant replacements, issues with Todd and Chuck invading the Office of VP. Her demands to keep herself insulated from press, and her reluctance to attend meetings, cancelling, causing chaos. Whoof!

I can almost believe that if McCain had been elected, it would maybe be the first time (haven’t checked historically) a Vice President would be recalled, impeached or removed from Office due to possible mental problems. In the old days, they called breakdowns for women, “melancholia”.

  • I have to say”Who in the hell did she think she was?”. What damn nerve she had even saying yes in the beginning. For the first time I am not afraid to actually picture that family in the White House because I know it cannot happen now. Can anyone even imagine what it would have been like?
Joe, I cannot wait for the book…I cannot wait.

  • Todd:

Joe McGinnis, why did you make the comment: “Doesn’t ANYONE like Sarah any more?”

Is it because Track has made it known that he does not want Sarah using his baby as a prop and to stay out of their lives ?

Is it because Part 2 of the Palin SarahPac Family Vacation lost all the Heath and Palin family members from the Palin SarahPac Family Vacation Part 1? The Palin and Heath families were no where to be found!

Or is it because Sarah is too embarrassed to show her movie The Undefeated in her home town or state because Sarah knows she is not liked there?

Or perhaps Sarah’s last book signing event was a total failure because only a few people showed up for her signature was a sign that nobody likes Sarah?

  • omomma:

“Read the ingredients before you buy, or sell?” And also take a look and a sniff; if it looks dirty and stinks, leave it on the shelf.

  • FrostyAK:

What’s left is an empty husk. Now that all the vitriol, racism, and divisiveness has been expelled, we find there is nothing left. That tells us what WAS. And IT might have been President – one sick old man’s heartbeat away.

One bullet dodged, more to go. Let us not forget the other Dominionists running for POTUS

  • Tom:

I totally agree and have been saying she has no support(that counts) in my comments.

its becoming obvious that conservative media, which means ALL the MSM will be pushing perry and palin just does not fit in (and never did) with their plans.

I also expect fox to dump her when her contract is up.

and while I also have been saying all along she would never run, remember palin lives in a false reality that she creates through her pathological lying.
she uses it to re-write her past and to manipulate the present.

she truly is a mental case and has been able to get this far only because she is viewed as physically attractive.

that said, will she go quietly into the night when her supporters are determined she is not only running but can/will become the next president?
she needs an out that wont offend the true believers.

there is no advantage to having waited this long if she did intend to announce a fake run and there is no rational excuse that she couldn’t have given before now for not running.
she has to much to lose now as it appears the media and even fox news are no longer willing to enable her.

my guess is she knows that and will not face it.

I hope the timing of your book hasn’t been misjudged but it may prove to be the final nail in the palin coffin.
(the accuracy of my predictions would be greatly enhanced if you were able to reveal any fox appearances)

and judging from your words here, my guess is nothing at this point in your life could be more satisfying.

  • While his “dignity and skill and integrity as a presidential candidate” cannot be dismissed, Obama’s win is more the result of the economic collapse just before the election. Up until then, McCain was ahead in the polls. When the stock market started to tank, Obama looked competent and reassuring, while McCain looked lost. Palin didn’t help. Having Romney or Lieberman on the ticket could have made a difference. However, McCain would not accept Romney, and the Republican base would accept Lieberman.
Palin was our least qualified VP nominee since Spiro Agnew. The Selling of the President exposed Agnew as an empty suit. When he was caught taking bribes, we were spared from a possible Agnew presidency.

  • Kaliman:

Palin actually caused her own downfall by her untreated mental condition, her tabloid exploits, the affairs,
the lying and cover-ups, and her out of control kids whom SHE RECKLESSLY PUSHED into the limelight.

She is, and always was incapable of doing the hard work of studying up, sticking with the job, learning policy, and building credibility as a politician.

The proof of that is the two emails she sent to Bailey saying how much she hated the Governor’s job, and how much she hoped she’d win the VP job so she could “get out of that place”

McCain was lucky as hell NOT to win, and end up with a narcicisstic backbiting scorpion from hell as his VP, running rogue around the country mouthing off, and producing scandal after crisis after pregnant teen daughter.

And to top all of that, Palin actually believes from being told by witch exorcist Pastor Muthee and many others that she’s been “chosen” to be President. That heady brew of religion mixed with teaparty and Koch money has really gone to her head. She’s the perfect storm of a christian supremacist made flesh.

She’s now like a caged beast, who knows she can’t ever really get out, but will make every day a living hell for those like Todd, who must care for, and control her, endure her ravings, her emotional abuse, and the lunacy of her mood swings.

In spite of all that, I pity Sarah, much like one would a developmentally challenged child.

When I visit the nursing home I do IT work for, and I see the wrecked lives of the physically and mentally disabled, I see Sarah Palin reflected in the sad lonely eyes of the deranged and crippled

  • diz:

I sometimes wonder what McCain is thinking about all this now. Had he not been in such a blind rush to snag the big prize he might have taken a couple weeks or so to spend some quality time ‘interviewing’ his potential running mate while his aides did some serious vetting. But it was not to be. He saw female (check), religious (check) but mistook her photogenic qualities for ability. Now that he sits back and watches $P trash his wife and daughter thru Bristol, it has to rankle. This is the reward he earned for not thinking the mission through. To salvage whatever respect remains for him from his cronies he must remain silent and is reduced to having his own daughter lead a feeble defense against the Paylin hate machine.

  • Viva:

Lacking any facts to support your claim (and I note you offer none), that’s only the opinion of one man.Let’s see your numbers, Tom – and I do not mean the ridiculous poll bounce from the introduction of the odious Sarah Palin. Let’s see you defend your claim.

  • Nick G:

David Frum has been cast into the wilderness by conservatives, and that happened many years ago. I read his stuff and respect him although I don’t agree with him on that much. He has been on the anti Palin bandwagon for many years. He is honest in his views about her, but in his Huffington Post style 3 column website (which has recently had a redesign) he did for quite a long time have a lot of anti Palin articles about her to boost traffic.

It’s true that a number of conservatives in the media that used to be her supporters are turning away from her, but Frum is probably not a good example to give. The basic point your trying to make is absolutely right though.

  • DKey:

Sarah set herself up for this with her first wink when she hit the world stage. I still cringe when I think of how she mocked President Obama. Then came her lies about Death Panels, and saying Michelle Obama “doesn’t want us to have dessert.” Many, many other things, including animal cruelty, but the capper for me was her involvement with the Gabrielle Giffords shooting. Gabby even spoke of it before it happened, so Sarah can’t say there isn’t a connection. SO irresponsible! And what’s up with “don’t retreat — reload!?” You think she’d tone it down after Tucson, but we’re talking about Sarah Palin. So . . .

I was once censored on HuffPo for using the word, KARMA, but I’ll say it ‘loud and proud’ here. Nobody likes Sarah anymore? KARMA, Baby!

  • Millie:

McCain deserves having Palin attached to him for the rest of his life. I am sure people in Congress look at him and just shake their heads. He doesn’t impress me and never has. Thank God, we have President Obama as our leader. And, thank God, that Palin is finally being exposed – it’s taken waaay toooo long!

I can hardly wait to receive your book, Mr. McGinniss. 9/20 isn’t coming around fast enough and I’m sure we are looking at a #1 best seller for you.

  • KatzKids:

I still think she’s going to run. Seeing all the Republicans turning against her, saying she’s done, will only inspire her to “SHOW” them all. In her mind, she is the Anointed, she is the Undefeated, she is the only one who can defeat Obama. She’ll want to prove herself even more now. The narcissists of the world know no fear, they have no shame, they have only their magnificent selves and can’t believe they aren’t winners.

I await her total breakdown. It’ll happen.

  • Thisby:

Not quite true. Mental breakdowns for women were attributed to “hysteria,” same root as “hysterectomy.” It was assumed they were crazy because of their lady parts. Other than that, I totally agree with your assessment. McCain would have had to spend all of his time in firefights with his supposed next in line. Eeesh – what we narrowly escaped!

  • Thisby:

Bingo. McCain either (1) let his right-wing advisers do the thinking for him or (2) let Little Top Gun Johnny do the thinking for him. Either way, he chose poorly. Either way, American politics, and especially GOP politics, has had to pay the price for his cowardice and poor judgment. McCain is my senator and I hope he rots in hell for what he unleashed on the country in the service of his own ridiculous ego.

  • AKRNHSNC:

Knowing several buyers at QVC personally and the company’s strict standards prior to taking on new companies, their REPRESENTATIVES and their products, $arah might not pass their standards due to her low poll ratings. They don’t want a flash-in-the-pan. They like their long term products and companies that will continue to sell the same quality and representatives without a flashy past. They really want the product to be visible, NOT just the representative. You’ll see the occasional well-known sports star, film and TV stars, etc. but they don’t want phone lines tied up with political crap and have stayed away from it for 25 years and probably will continue to do so. I’ll bet this is her last multi-year term with Fox. It will be a year at a time now if they choose to continue with her because she’s not drawing them in anymore nor does anyone really want to “interview” her due to her inability to speak with any knowledge about the subject she’s being questioned on. I think the publishing business is done with her, too, considering the last book sold less than 1/4 of the first book’s total and Bristol’s book was far from a success.

I may be overly optimistic but $arah’s time in the spotlight is, if not completely over, limited to a few minutes at best. Although I’m sure she’s going to go down kicking and scratching, she’s going down.

  • AKRNHSNC:

I can’t believe the delusional at C4Palin are still as enamored of Palin as they were months ago. Somehow, it’s all the fault of the left that the movie didn’t do well, Palin’s book tour hit the bumps it did, and even the polls are being controlled by the left! I’ve never see such crazy stories in my life all in defense of this woman and how poor $arah has been suffering at the hands of the “Obama-controlled media”! They even believe the woman who approached Todd and called $arah a “sell-out” was sent by Obama with some claiming her to be the same teacher who had the WGE poster. But, fear not, because in their delusional minds, the Palin family will be moving into 1600 PA Ave. come January 2013! It’s all in God’s hands, this time they are sure of it. (shaking head and wondering how so many people could be so fooled and controlled by $arah and her nutty behavior) I think the number of posters has decreased over time or maybe I’m just hoping there aren’t that many mentally ill people in this country due to Palin.

  • B:

Perhaps The Rogue will convince some Republicans to read the ingredients of their current line-up of crazy candidates. Most could not have even made it as far as an Iowa Straw Poll a few years ago. The Palin lessons have not yet been learned, except for lessons like the ends justifying and the means and the gullibility of Republican voters.

  • Older_Wiser:

The problem is, though, that Quitler’s stench lingers like a cheap cigar.

  • Sally:

They have only gotten 200 RSVPs in Iowa doe her FREE event on Sept. 3. The writing is on the wall.

  • carollt:

I was going to comment stating basically the same points as you KatzKids. So, let me just agree with you. Sarah has always doubled down, and this time will be no different.

  • deennaa:

These are my opinions and beliefs: Her ship is wrecked. But she will be like those lighter pieces of wreckage that float to shore, sullying the beach with its stink and pollution. I remain angry at the mainstream American media for allowing her full steam ahead carrying her boatload of disaster in the murky political waters of this nation – at a time of such critical importance in the log of issues facing this country and the world.

Had it not been for the few who called her out on her BS – those like Jack Cafferty, Keith Olberman, Rachel Maddow (to an extent), and those few writer’s and bloggers especially, – never allowing her to win with her lies and her self-made phony victimization’s – never allowing cowardly Facebook posts and twit twitters to go unanswered – constantly having the TRUTHFUL rebuttal to her continual racist puke and hateful screeches towards the president and all previous others (in and out of Alaska) – reminding, reminding and calling attention to all her lies upon lies upon lies and presenting thorough and in depth research to counter all these – at this point in time and since even before, the wretches (to borrow Mr. McG’s word), known as palin, required and had dire need of all those who spoke out against their toxic, deadly, deforming, utterly fraudulent actions upon all in this country. We really owe these writers and bloggers one big standing ovation.

I truly believe THE ROGUE is going to be a milestone book for out times – a milestone that captures our attention for what it will reveal about this country and what it reveals about the person (creature) who could have brought the entire nation, and by extension, the world, down.
As it was, the person of sarah palin brought down so much with so little .

It boggles the mind that an empty, cruel, shallow, spineless, mean, corrupt/rotten, bullying, fraudulent, scheming, conning, hypocrite, mentally unstable, second rate ex-beauty pageant contestant, would or could be thrust upon a country that had leadership in the world and be absolutely and profoundly elevated to the second highest status in command of that country.

Undeservedly, without any merit of expertise or qualifications and with an urgent up front trail of ethical and moral issues directly related to her short time in Alaskan politics – the political Alaska that prided itself on its “Corrupt Bastards” club. She was a member before she became governor in name only.

She sold herself as “fresh” and later as “rogue”, not even understanding the real meaning of the denigrating term. She was not fresh and she was not a rogue. She was business as usual. The business that finally brought the FBI onto the scene in Alaska and which is still reverberating like the constant earthquakes Alaskan’s know only too well but carry on nervously in spite of.

I think, as an Alaskan, that our political landscape just simply mirror’s the greater political landscapes of the lower 48. Being near the top of the world and thousands of miles from the rest of the contiguous states, our affairs have never been much of a blip on the radar. Unknown mostly. sarah palin found backers with clout and worked her whoring ways to the hilt with never a thought for anyone’s welfare but her own personal aggrandizement and a whiplash desire for power beyond anyone’s imagining.

John McCain and the media did the rest of this catastrophe. I will repeat that were it not for the writer’s who have stood their ground and the blogger’s – especially the Alaskan’s – the ones who knew her best – this country would be in much much worse shape politically. Very dangerously so. I believe that to be fact.

When it wasn’t popular nor “politically correct” (despicable word), these few “Messenger’s among us” kept the unbalanced and crazy, sane and real. The cowards in and out of media, and the cheering rabid children who pied-pipered them, came close to a flame that almost devoured them. Rancorously blind and unaware of what they had no right to bring upon all of us. Gabrielle Giffords would attest to that. So would the young man sent to prison for so much less than what the palin’s themselves have committed in corruptions, fraud, lies and slander against so many others. Had not palin been the phony and unearned celebrity with the biggest whine’s of “victim” in the world, that young man would not have seen the inside of a jail cell. There are all the others who have been maimed by these ugly and horrendous palin’s. Mostly public knowledge.

I believe sarah palin is done. Over. Toast. She is going down in ignominy. I doubt she will believe that or accept it. She will be a dervish for hanging on to what was never hers anyway. That’s just the way of a hard core thief. She will continue to “plow through” that imaginary open door. She will never understand that there are some things and people you just cannot burn……..and get away with it. Unaccountability has its payday. Good riddance sarah. It hasn’t been nice knowing you. Its been hellish. I can feel RILL fresh air coming in…….

When Joe McGinnis’s book finally gets into our hands we will have our reward. Thank you Mr. McG and now your standing ovation. (and for all the people who had the courage and persistence to stand up and say NO and HELL NO)

One last word to you sarah and Todd: I stand in solidarity with my fellow Alaskan at the Iowa state fair and echo loudly her words to you: S E L L O U T S! and add my own Native words: Tsant’ stennee Khlett’s. Your air is so foul.

  • VeryPolitik:

It’s my guess that there are people at C4P who are paid by the Palin camp (through SarahPac?) to be cheerleaders. Their job is to keep SP in the spotlight with her fans. Stoke the fire – keep it going.

  • JR:

I agree. Joe is even taunting her – calling Sarah a coward is sure to bring out the “I’ll show him” impulsive vendetta behavior that she knows and loves. Sarah will allow her delusions to overtake any rational thinking about whether or not she is even liked enough to make it through a weekend as a candidate for president. Just like wool over eyes, she believes she can cover her bulging pillow and be believed (and beloved) by all.
She does tend to get away with a host of lies and fantastical thinking – I wouldn’t be surprised if she becomes the media darling again with an announcement! Like Jon Stewart said the other night – the media is like the dog in the movie Up, paying attention until a squirrel comes into view.

  • mary b:

As soon as Palin opened her mouth at the RNC and put down Community Organizers, I RAN to my local OrganizingforAmerica.org office to sign up!!
To my surprise, there were at least 50 others who did the same thing when they heard Palin speak.
If McCain had stayed true to himself, he MIGHT have had a chance, but I doubt it. If he had not picked Palin for his VP, he would not have lost by such a wide margin.
Even if he had not picked her, his pandering to the religious right whackjobs did him in.
    John Hagee?? James Dobson??
We are trying to hold on to our Democracy by a thread. McCain would have cut those threads for the religious right vote and his wealthy friends.
He, like Palin, created a false narrative about himself.
    They are both phony.

  • Molly:

I’m giving you a standing ovation from Europe. That wretch was not only a danger to America but to the whole world. I will never forgive the American media for elevating her to such an undeserved status. She has done untold damage to your country. I’m glad she is finally on a downward spiral but I really want to see her exposed and humiliated for the evil fraud that she is.

I hope Joe’s book will do that!

  • crystalwolfakacaligrl:

It is SO bad that people are calling the mag “Mother Earth News” “political” because they have articles about climate!
Ummm that is what the mag is about Mother Earth! These idiots are complaining how “political” it has begun to be.
So yes, we have NEVER been this divided as a Nation until Sister Sarah came along!

  • crystalwolfakacaligrl:

If she wasn’t sequestered like Steve Schmitch said she would McCain would of met with a accident…. a fatal one.
I’m convinced of that. Of course then we would see her in Jail, if she hadn’t re-arranged all her cronies yet!

  • crystalwolfakacaligrl:

Sorry that was meant to go up thread!

  • Jeanabella:

    Great post & comments!
The tweet sent out by the rogue re Obama & Lincoln baffles. She visited the “Whispering Gallery” and compares herself with Lincoln! See IM newest post.
She is so delusional about her importance, comparing herself to Lincoln and herself as a victim of even worse insults than either presidents Lincoln & Obama.
Joe, she just may announce a run because she is that SICK.
Looking forward to your book in my Kindle!
    Thanks,
    Jeanabella

I was never political, but the moment I heard her speak, I ran to the computer to Donate to Obama! No way I wanted that viper any where near the WH!

  • Beaglemom:

I think you’re right, Cackling Rad, that this response is organized. It’s possible that the Republican Party is worried that Candidate Palin would suck so much media energy that there would be none left for the other contenders. Or, on the other hand, it’s possible that the Republican Party fears what would happen should media scrutiny raise any questions about the various Palin-gates (no offense to “Palingates” blog) – abuses of power in Alaska and, above all, baby gate. There had to have been cooperation between the McCain people and the Palin family in perpetrating the fake pregnancy hoax and squelching the fake pregnancy rumors during the 2008 campaign (remember the disappearance of photos, etc.).

  • Jaye:

Things are getting pretty dicey for the Unclean one. It’s like a rugby scrum in the UK – everyone piling on. We knew this day would come.

Ms. Palin (Heath?) if you are reading this I DOUBLE DOG DARE YOU TO RUN. Do it – you want to. Go ahead and make my day. Then watch ALL the crows come home to roost.

Joe I pre-ordered The Rogue. Waiting for September 20th delivery! 😉

  • Montrealer:

I also suspect that there are a number of spoofers who post there for the fun of it, probably just hoping to egg those delusional fools on. Some of the more outrageous comments made in support of her ignorance are too over-the-top to be real.

  • AKRNHSNC:

I hope you’re right about there being paid posters @C4P because it’s damn frightening to think of anyone who is that over the top about Palin. It’s certainly better than thinking there are so many delusional people in our country. You give me hope-thanks!

  • lilybart:

She could do a Babygate Mea Culpa, claim it was why she was hesitant to run so she decided to come clean and then RUN!

That would work for many people.
She could get one last blast of the hot lights.

  • lilybart:

Joe, you might actually benefit from her imminent demise. The media has been loathe to point out the many elephants in her living room, but now that she is no longer the “untouchable sainted mother of a DS child” your book might actually get taken seriously and not blown off as another book by a jealous hater. LOL.

  • AKRNHSNC:

That’s great news but where did you find it? If she’s representing the Tea Party who can’t get 100 people together for a rally, I don’t know why she thinks they’ll get thousands of TP’ers coming to see her?! Or as C4P puts it, “tens of thousands” would be a “low estimate” of crowd size for all of us who have been feeling “Palin-deprived” for many months now—GROSS!!

  • Lidia17:

Sarah Palin was the most artificial concoction that ROGER AILES ever tried to sell to the American people.

  • Scorpie:

Thank you Molly for stating what I also want to happen. I really want to see her publicly humiliated.

  • lilybart:

The “tea party” people are just religious freaks and bigots hiding behind “small government” rhetoric. They want government in my uterus and in my gay friend’s bedroom. They love government intrusion in the lives of other heathens.

  • Diane:

I still think she will run. She really has to or else her gravy train is over. Why should Fox keep her on and why should people still send her money? She still has her political cred because she is 2 years out from being a politician.

I think she will run, but get in the race after the republican primary. She does not have any ideas or policies of her own; she is basically an attack dog. She will find something she doesn’t like about the R candidate and then enter because her base is “demanding her to”. They are probably demanding their money back, but palin will take it to mean whatever she wants it to!

Anyway, if she makes a symbolic run, she will spend others money, it will not cost that much, she will not have to campaign or debate(she will run unconventionally). She will satisfy her base and they will think she is so serious. Fox will keep her on in case she will run in 2016.

She may also be tapped as a VP candidate. This would be ideal for her, she will have keepers and others will pay for everything. If perry becomes the nominee, no worries about an old guy!

The only thing she has to worry about if she runs is; if she runs on her own and siphons enough votes away from the R candidate that they lose, then she will be finished politically.
Or as a VP candidate, she loses the election for the team.

This is palin’s Waterloo. There has been enough rumbling about her and not in a good way. She has to to something and I’m betting on her narcissism that she will go out with a bang, in any of the scenarios above.!

  • CougInPortland:

John McCain should thank his “one heartbeat” lucky stars that he lost. Had he won, I’ve never doubted from the time she was introduced that there would eventually have been rat poison in his Metamucil. The past three years have just confirmed it.

Cannot WAIT for your book, Joe. It’s being released at JUST the right time.

  • Marie:

I also think that she’s so far gone into her own pathology that she will declare her run for the presidency, or some other similarly grandiose effort to claim her rightful glory, whatever crazy position or plan that might be. Will she buy a small island and declare her brand a country?

She’s unpredictable: no way to know which way she’ll jump, only that she will.

  • jcinco:

Me too. I was always aware of the political scene but never dove in the way I did after hearing palin’s hateful acceptance speech at the RNC. The hair on the back of my neck stood on end and I knew she would need to be stopped…I started contributing to the Obama campaign and went on to be hopelessly addicted to anti-sarah blogs just to calm my jittery nerves. Somehow knowing there were many more out there who had the same premonition about the harridan made me feel sane.

  • lilly lily:

Whether she dares or doesn’t dare a run, she is finished.

The babbleing bobble head won’t accept that as obvious, her rabid cult followers won’t either, but the general public is fed up with Sarah Palin. Damned fed up.

Palin mania was initially for those wide eyed gun toting idiots who believed her moose skinning, Alaskan grizzley mom, Annie Oakley routine “I can do everything you can do better”. I still see taunts that she can field dress a moose, and that makes her fit to be president, yah, yah, yah. The level of her skill. HER FATHER can field dress a moose. Sarah Palin always has freshly manicured nails,(her one touch of glamour and cleanliness) she wouldn’t touch a moose. Wake up Palinbots, she is a fraud in everything.

Obama can’t field dress a moose? Who cares? I don’t.

  • gsb:

who in their right mind would believe for a single minute Mccain if, he had won, would last for the first four years? The Dominionists were sure he would not. Why? Palin herself was sure, why?
I read some of the Dominionists, writings, McCain was to be eliminated, some way it was never clear how but, it was clear he was not supposed to survive. Making the way clear for a Palin Presidency. After all folks, God, told her to run and that she, would be the President. This country dodged a very dangerous bullet.
The danger is still “clear and present” with these people.

  • anAlaskanAlsoII:

Sarah would have been sending Piper over from the Observatory with “Blueberry Pie” every week until the old coot would finally eat it. Every last bite, so that Sarah could take over the mantle and carry that red button around her neck like the obnoxious Judeo-Christian jewelery she sports when catering to the environment – entirely relying of the crowd’s projection of what she means, stands for and represents.

Shallow, superficial, malevolent and vengeful, would Nixon shudder? I think so.

  • Kat aka jk:

There are, what, 300 million people in this country? If even a tiny percentage of them are as bat-sh*t crazy as Palin herself, that’s more than enough for a vocal and visible nutcase fringe in our cyberspace era. And then there’s the probably larger demographic that just doesn’t pay attention to politics, some of whom probably cling to the vague notion of Palin as a populist reformer (and/or MILF). It’s disheartening to see any remaining support in poll numbers, but, between the people who don’t have half a brain and those who have half a brain but don’t use it, I think the rapidly dwindling numbers can be mostly explained.

  • Pam:

You know, I have been tempted to post some outrageous praise on C4P just for fun. But then I think that for fun I would really rather be riding my horse, working in the garden, or out for a run through the country. So I go there every so often and just shake my head at the comments and their ignorance. They are in a different reality. I just can’t understand how sane, rational people can believe all the BS that presents itself through Palin. But, it does make me realize how sane I am. And how grateful I am that so many continue to pursue the truth about her hoax and frauds. This is a big world and there is room for a lot of crazies, we just shouldn’t let them destine our path. Keep up the great work, all of you that are seeking the truth for everyone’s benefit.

BRAVO!!!!! This Alaskan wholeheartedly agrees!!! Bless you for being able to say it all. I get so flustered when thinking about, seeing, hearing $arah Palin that my brain won’t function properly. And, YES – a standing ovation to the bloggers one and all!!!! Thank you for your unflinching courage in exposing the REAL Valley Trash. And, Joe McG, I’ve read the rest of the books and very much look forward to yours.

  • karenw729:

I’ll think you’ll still have plenty of buyers for your book even if she doesn’t run for POTUS. People love rubber necking and she’s well on her way to be the latest wreck. I’ll certainly be buying it (kindle version), and we need it out there to put a final nail in her proverbial coffin. I think it’s so funny and righteous that she sees herself as annointed by God to be the next Queen Esther, when really she was annointed by God to teach us, through her actions, about the evils of politics.

  • Dicer:

To think that the GOP was so devoid of anything good, that they embraced the worst fraud, spewer of hate and bile that we have ever seen ,and paid her millions.

We have the first black President and they had a plan: use Sarah, create Tea Party, bully and scare the people and a willing media to follow along.

Thank God for the good people who saw through her and were willing to speak out loud and often and continue to do so. Joe, I think Sarah cannot wait to have someone read “The Rogue” and start tweeting about it, as she tries to claw her way back.

  • Diane:

You may not be old enough to remember the late 60’s and 70’s.
They too were a very very scary time, the Viet Nam war, race riots, RFK and MLK assinations, police brutality, Kent state, the 68 democratic convention and on and on.
And of course Watergate and nixon.

  • jcinco:

Dkey, she will always own Tucson, it’s really too bad it took an act of violence for many folks to begin to question her hateful rhetoric and to suspect she was the ringleader of those sending out dog whistles to commit violence against their fellow Americans. I was banned from huffington for asking “why is it that anyone can say any damn thing they please about the president and the first lady but when there’s a thread about palin it immediately goes into moderation lock-down? What’s the agenda around here? Is arianna as big a fan of palin as she is the kardashian klan or what? I was instantly banned….

  • jcinco:

deennaa, please don’t forget the contribution Stephen Colbert has made in bringing simple-minded sarah down. He started going after her with a venom I’ve never seen him demonstrate before after the Tucson tragedy. Stephen had Gabby’s husband, Mark, on his show a few months prior to Tucson. Stephen is a likable guy and gets along well with almost anyone. When Mark appeared on the Colbert Report there was a real mutual respect going on and I think Stephen, like many of us, held palin with her hateful rhetoric & crosshair target on Gabby to be responsible for the tragedy. His super pac was contrived to expose palin for her underhanded, greedy money grab. He wanted his audience to know how these pacs are a way for grifting lazy jerks like gingrich and palin to line their pockets off of their ignorant, rabid fans. I’d vote for Stephen Colbert to be president in a heart beat before I would any of the clowns the gop/t-baggers have offered up.

  • Leona:

I live in Iowa, and I happened to watch Sean Hannity interview Sarah Palin the other evening at the State Fair. Towards the end of the interview, the two of them had this little exchange:

Hannity: When half the country doesn’t pay taxes, when 15% are now on food stamps, we have a dependency entitlement class It’s almost the voting majority. Does that become problematic?
Palin: Of course it does. Of course it does. Because All President Obama needs is for more people to not be working and not paying into the system but being takers from the system than not, and he can get reelected…

I don’t even know where to begin to respond to that load of crap.

  • BfromC:

His daughter is coming close to doing it for him, at least!

  • BfromC:

So true! And they are absolutely, completely, utterly, and insanely incapable of seeing their own hypocrisy and double standards.

Their limited size yet ironically powerful influence has set us back a couple decades. I only hope the rallying of sensible people will help get us back on track to a society that we know a majority of Americans desire.

  • Marie:

I was mesmerized by that article of Gollop (sp). Was he kidding, or is he seriously demented? Is he a real person, or is he simply RAM, disguised under a nom-de-plume?

    GAG!!!

  • Mark:

Um, does your husband watch Parks and Recreation by any chance? It’s Tom Haverford’s word.

  • She thought she could fool the lower 48 like she did Alaska…what an idiot!

  • cckids:

Please don’t compare Sarah Palin to any physically or mentally handicapped person. My son is one of them, and despite a life of physical pain, ridicule and having less in life, he is a loving, fun, caring & happy person. Most of the people he’s gone to school with are the same. They don’t whine, they don’t hate, they enjoy every part of life they get to participate in. In other words, the opposite of Palin. She has everything–money, fame, family, a beautiful place to live, influence, a voice to effect change. What has she done with it? Spread hate, discord & vengefulness; neglected her kids, doesn’t even attempt to make things better for anyone but herself.

During the campaign, the truest sign I saw of her real character was a little-reported story from Colorado. They had an initiative on the ballot that would have raised the sales tax 1/4 of 1 percent to give funding to adults with disabilities to get into group homes. There was at that time a 12,500 person waiting list to get placement. And Sarah opposed it. Because it was a tax increase, and those are always bad. When asked, she said families and churches should help. Believe me, families are already doing all they can, and then some. That she couldn’t even agree with such a tiny amount to help a group she is supposedly “passionate” about & has such a connection to, said loudly what her real issues are.

  • Quitler didn’t fool Alaska for any longer than she did the Outside, friend; she wasn’t getting reelected, rest assured.

It’s worth noting she materialized upon the statewide scene as rapidly and unexpectedly as she did nationwide. It’s spooky, actually.

Joe, that article written by Eric Golub is hilarious. His CV says he is a comedian & satirist. Are you sure he wrote this in all seriousness and not for a laugh? If he is, indeed, smitten to such a degree by her, he definitely needs to have an intervention.

  • Rocky in Texas said...:

    Hey Joe…

I do believe that shortly after your book is released there won’t be any room left for any more “Nails in palins coffin” so to speak.

I would consider that to be a “Badge of Honor”

I also consider everyone that helped put a nail in her coffin to be “A Real American Patriot”

btw, any chance you could put out a quick book about her twin from Texas. He might be the more dangerous one.

Rumor has it that if “America doesn’t suck it up and elect him Potus…

he’s taking Texas and going to Mexico”

  • MissSunshine:

Wow, Hannity just spoon-feeds her response in that question. He is not “throwing” questions at her, so much as handing them to her on a velvet cushion.

He is touching on a raw T-bagger nerve there. It’s not that the country has been looted by poorly regulated financial institutions, no – it’s the poor brown people who are “gaming” the system for food, shelter, medical care and some help with education.

They really think that America is much like a “gated community” and that only the well-heeled and a meek servant class (who only show up once a week to trim lawns and scrub floors) should be allowed to enter.

Rock star worship. This guy at the Iowas State Fair is truly pathetic.

Too bad he won’t be around to get canned goods thrown at him. As another much better, more discerning writer said a while ago, even the insects cringe when Sarah Palin comes home.

The first dude? So nice she deserves to be President?

He is delusional as well as seeming to be a sad sack. Middle school kids meeting the prom queen and king.

WOW!!! Ain’t she swell? I’m never going to wash again, she touched this sharpie.

I’m shaking my head, I can’t even laugh at this.

  • Tom:

    regarding the update…….

that is what you see at her site c4p.

this author is just another parasite who realizes his ambition doesnt take a hit by writing this bull and appealing to her supporters.

the piece itself is full of obvious contridictions and just plain silly stuff.
and he also shares palins ability to describe anyone who would offer a bit of reality as some leftist hater who hates her because of….fill in the blank.

can this guy be this stupid?

    i doubt he is.
but he does realize how stupid her supporters are and writes accordingly.

  • Mary:

Wow, that article is really something.

“She is kept on lockdown due to the many threats she gets from deranged leftists who despise a woman they have never met.”

I was not aware of this situation! I doubt anyone else is, either.

“So many women are jealous of her because men want to go out with her and women want to be her. She was superwoman, balancing five children while governing an entire state and running for Vice President.”

Sigh. Again with the jealous thing? Again with the “The morning in 2008 that Sarah Palin was selected to be Vice Presidential nominee, people who thought they knew politics expressed shock. She came out of “nowhere.” (Which for the media is defined as not New York or Los Angeles)” regional prejudice thing? Do conservatives go to some class where they learn these talking points?

Also, Sarah Palin did not govern the entire state of AK while “balancing five children”. It’s obvious that she was neither raising her children successfully NOR doing her job as Governor. She QUIT as Governor because she couldn’t take the heat. She’s since negated her own self-defense (that she didn’t want to cost the AK taxpayers money fighting her legal battles), by asking the state of AK to pay for her most recent legal battle!

I do get a giggle, though, imagining this pathetic little man, wandering around in a Hawaiian shirt and a black fedora (!) thinking that Sarah Palin is “at the very least Aphrodite’s better looking cousin.” I didn’t know Aphrodite’s cousin looked so old and haggard. Times must be tough on Mt. Olympus.

  • Millie:

If Palin runs, FOX will not be able to keep her on.

  • lilly lily:

LOL. Andrew Breitbart? is attacking Meghan McCain for her bit in the Beast about Sarah Palin. And the comments by Palinites about McCain and her father are priceless.

Wait until Daddy hears about his princess being attacked.

Amazing that McCain is getting shellaced by the Palin Bots. The very man who saddled the U.S.A. with this viper. And she certainly was a viper in his bosom. He is lucky he lost. A very, very lucky man because he is still here.

They are taunting the wrong family. Bristol took pot shots. Soon there will be an all out war of words. And Meghan knows quite a bit about the Palin family.

  • Flying Pig Ranch:

I read that Sarah didn’t have security at the Iowa State Fair. Guess she thought Todd was sufficient backup against the Iowegians. The Bachmanns had body guards that were wearing yellow shirts with “security” printed in red and the guards were pushing people away. I would guess that the campaign pays for security from their PAC. I also just read that the Christy kid and his father have been arrested for harrassing the Palins. Phone calls…….

Most of my critics are imbeciles. They prove this on a daily basis. That is why they are critics. Their attempts to write a column would not stand the withering scrutiny.

He’s short, wears Hawaiian shirts and a black fedora, crams greasy hot dogs in his mouth and the best joke he presents to the First Dude is so lame it hurts. If this column and that joke are indicators of this ‘conservative’ talent – no wonder Sarah Palin is the cream that rises to the top. That is one low-ass bar.

    That was flat out painful.

Wonkette has one of their threads about Perry. I’m at a library, it will not allow the comments through. I’m sure they are truly gross, as someone wants to out Perry, asking for any information on his sexual activities. This library rarely puts a halt on my entering Wonkette threads, or anything I log into.

This is shaping up to be a comedic farce of a campaign for the 3 Stooges hopefulls of the Republican party. Worthy of Mel Brooks.

It’s going to get dirtier and messier by the day.

I’m waiting for Meghan to really say what she thinks of Palin. She has been diplomatic to date.

Tell us what you really know.

  • jcinco:

My God, I’m at a loss for words about that guy. I really can not believe he is any older than 14 years old. When someone challenges him he really makes a fool of himself. He should write it in long hand and put it under his mattress with the penthouse magazines he stole from his uncle…

  • jcinco:

Do you have a link lilly lily?

  • Sir Guestalot:

Thank you for posting this clip, rm. It’s what I’ve been saying all along. The professionals are all on board NOW, already. You can’t even get on the ballots in all 50 states unless you are declared by now (or very soon). You need staff to do all that; you have to have paid staff in at least 20 states per the FEC to qualify as a national campaign. We all know Palin is not a professional and mentally unstable, but even so, she can’t just crash the Presidential campaign the way she crashed into Iowa this month. Steele says he likes her but she’s not running.

There’s no advantage to “waiting,” either. None. She is no longer perceived as on the same level as the “serious candidates” if she can’t debate. But it doesn’t even matter if she debates if she’s not even on a ballot or can’t get staff on the ground in various states. Does she even have a 5 state strategy? AK, AZ, IA, ? and ? And what could she win with a 5 state strategy? Nothing. Zero. Nada. Zilch. 0.

  • lilly lily:

sorry, I’ve been surfing the net and haven’t kept a written tab on where I’ve gone.

Jumping from blog to blog. The Pennsylvania boy Christie and his family are in the hands of the law in Allentown Pa.. This broke 2 hours ago. They have been calling Palin and her lawyers and saying they will not stop. (Sally Heath asked them to call at one point so they could talk it out.)

So dramas are breaking all around for all the Republican nut jobs. I call them the three Stooges. Palin, Perry and Bachman.

These idiots usually deserve every bit of trouble they stir up. Though I think threats like the Palin bots send are out of line for anyone.

Did you get a load of the photo that accompanies his column!?! He let himself be published as the personification of a “mouth-breathing idiot”! It looks like someone at the Washington Times thinks he’s a dolt and made the decision to advertise it right alongside his pitiful essay.

  • Oh yes, I think she would have had him somehow “gone”. Those are the anything for God people.

  • My impression exactly.

  • KatieAnnieOakley:

I remember all of it – too well. I was in 7th grade when Kent State happened, and it scared me shitless. So many things to make anyone second-guess what their government was up to. It made me the questioning person I am today. “Because I / we said so” has never been a good enough answer for me – I want to know WHY… because it has to make sense. And when it doesn’t make sense, it’s hypocrisy. And I cannot abide hypocrisy, at all.

He responds to each and every comment having criticism – and there’s lots and lots of those! He is “editing” for “language” and “content”. Some – like mine – are deleted completely (I commented: Eric seems to be thinking with the little head…). He comes across as a shrill, rabid Bot – with a hard-on for everything and anything $arah. And truth, clarity and facts be damned!

  • Phil Blythe:

I actually posted in the comments section of that ridiculous Palinbot’s “article” on Palin from The Moonie Times. May Xenu have mercy on my thetan.

  • KatieAnnieOakley:

Actually, you see the same group of people surrounding her throughout her time at the fair. Now, they could be family friends, but… she was “encircled” by a ring of people while being photographed – over, and over, and over. Some overweight guy with a green polo shirt and sunglasses was in most of them, from one end to the other, never more than an arms length away.

True. She also was much better behaved while running for lt. governor and governor. Craig Medred had an interesting article on that on Alaska Dispatch just the other day. Underneath she was always the same, of course. She’s been the queen of the mean girls ever since junior high. But when she was governor she hid her nastiness better and was actually pleasant to reporters and worked with democrats. The ’08 campaign gave her a glimpse of the big time and she came home from that not caring if the whole world saw how very, very vile she truly is. In fact, she reveled in it.

  • mudkitten:

She had better not count on AK as part of a five state strategy. I don’t think she’d even win a primary and a recent poll showed her losing to Obama.

  • rm:

    Sir Guestalot thanks,
And most impt. Roger Ailes will NO way keep her on board.

  • Millie:

She wasn’t all that good w/reporters in Alaska. She could not answer their questions, so began holding press conferences w/all of her commissioners surrounding her. If there was a question she couldn’t answer (and there were many!), she’d immediately defer to that particular commissioner. She was also horrible in the debates when she ran against Andrew Halcro…it was amazing she was elected. I know, I didn’t vote for her and neither did many of my friends and family members.

Don’t forget too, the Alaska Legislature actually wore buttons on their lapels that had her photo and said “Where’s Sarah?” She doesn’t know how to ‘work’!!!

I’m delighted folks are finally seeing the real Sarah Palin – it’s only taken three years!

  • Samantha:

Well, sure, the 2010 election is over. The GOP got that right wing surge they needed, and the queen of the tea party lead the rabble-rousing for the midterms. It’s no coincidence that as the tea party is starting to lose steam a bit, so is she.

It’s not Sarah so much I dread, it’s what she represents, what she shoves into the mainstream, and how she opens the door for more like her. I’m hoping that, like a teenager who’s overdosed on too much sugar, coca-cola and candy, the american public will be sick of evangelical fervor, and wake up to the importance of the separation of church and state, and say they’re sorry for thinking that killing unions and defunding Planned Parenthood was a good idea…..but I’m not holding my breathe.

  • carollt:

That Washington Times piece was rather funny. That fellow sure has a crush on the Queen. But I have to disagree with him. He puts out the Palinbot spin that women hate her because they are jealous and liberals hate her, yada, yada, yada. Woman don’t want to be Sarah Palin. Who in their right mind would want to change places with a nut case? And liberals don’t hate Sarah; they just want her to go away.

The commenter before mine had a link to a news article stating that the venue has changed for the September 3 appearance of the Queen. Could it be that she will announce? If it is, it will be a day late and a dollar short. Several articles from the conservative press this week were not kind to the Queen. It seems like those on the right are piling on Sarah. Sarah bullied a well respected reporter from the Daily Caller and other conservative pundits don’t like it and have had it with Sarah.

But where were all these pundits when it mattered back in 2008? I will tell you where they were; they were busy putting the Republican party ahead of the country. They are still putting the party before the country; just look at the games they played with the debt ceiling recently.

If Sarah does not announce on September 3rd, I may have to conclude she is not running. But I get a funny feeling about that change in venue. Sarah just might stay true to form and double down on stupid. Because if she announces, I don’t think she can keep all the gates at bay (housegate, babygate, dairygate, etc….). All those skeletons might escape from the closet.

  • Susan:

That was my impression of her press conferences as well, always deferring reporter’s questions to others for answers. I thought it made her look incompetent, and she seemed tense in the process. I think she clearly knows her limitations, but that doesn’t stop her from thinking she can baffle us with her bullshit.

  • “I’m done playing games. One more comment such as this and you are banned for the day. Either make a comment that is relevant to the subject, leave, or be removed. This is your final warning.”
This was just one of Eric’s comments to a poster to his ridiculous post on how beautiful a person Sarah Palin is. PUKE PUKE PUKE This man-boy- is truly delusional & I’m tempted to ask him if his picture of the queen has a frame that cleans up quick cuz I’m sure it gets lots of use!
Anyone who disagrees with him or Mrs Quittypants is attacking…it’s just unreal how these people refuse to even listen to an opposing view point!

  • It has to rank right up there as the most pathetic piece of garbage I have ever read. Truly sad to think that an adult wrote this crap! I would be totally embarrassed to admit to writing this.

  • lilli:

Boo Hoo, I’ve been banned for the day on that site you linked to. Poor guys got the hots for Sarah and he’ll never get anything except a her hand being held out for money…idgits!!

  • Ann:

Joe–Eagerly anticipating your book which, of course, I’ve already ordered. Am wondering, though, if I should invest in an old-fashioned chinstrap, since I feel certain my jaw will be dropping continously while I’m reading it. Can’t tell you how happy I feel that you will be confirming things that those of us who post here on a regular basis naturally intuit about this woman. And am still so astounded that there is ANY one out there who believes this woman is seriously–SERIOUSLY–qualified to hold the office of President of the United States. That’s a scenario that defies imagination.

  • Ann:

    I thought that, too.

  • The guy in the green polo shirt is that idiot lawyer-Peter Singleton- from California that quit his job to go to Iowa & build a database for Mrs Quittypants in case she decides to run. Oh and did I say he is doing this without ever being in contact with the quitter or any of her aides. Talk about a moron! Why do all these men-& I use that term loosely- think that just because they want to do this woman that she is somehow qualified to be president?

  • DKey:

Excellent, jcinco! I’d wear it as a badge of honor.

  • GinaM:

Why yes he does!! *Giving the stink eye to husband at this moment

  • mudkitten:

Yes, that is true. But my point is that at that time, especially early in her half-term, she actually gave press conferences and at times tried to be pleasant to the press. She sure doesn’t do that anymore.

  • Laura:

May Xenu have mercy on my Thetan – That is honestly one of the funniest things I’ve ever read. I can’t stop laughing!
