Doing My Part

Palin supporters (hello? are there any left?) are being urged to pack the movie theaters on July 15 for the premiere of “The Undefeated.”

I guess the theory is if Sarah sees there are still a few thousand people around the country willing to sit through a two-hour glorification of herself, she might just decide run for president after all.

Well, I might be in attendance myself at the July 15 showing in Phoenix. Summer weather just wonderful, with temps above 115 and massive dust storms (see photo above showing conditions yesterday.)

I’m thinking of writing a Kindle Single to be called “Sarah Palin’s Arizona,” which could go on sale at amazon.com in late August.
Maybe ten thousand words about the state Sarah is making her new home. I could spend a bit of time in North Scottsdale, swing by Maricopa, and head down to Tucson, where Gabrielle Giffords almost died and where Sarah’s political career, in fact, did.

  • Mrs. Tarquin Biscuitbarrel:

Should you write a Kindle Single, Joe, I’ll buy a Kindle just for that. Seriously!

  • Dicer:

Too kind to Kindle Joe….please no Sarah…only a footnote now.

  • AnnieB:

    Joe,

Do you have any info on Organizing4Palin or whatever it is that’s going on in Iowa? Are these really just ardent supporters getting out there on their own for her or is she secretly directing them? I have to wonder if she thinks she is just going to shock everyone by winning in Iowa without looking like she’s done anything there. I cannot wait for your book!

  • FEDUP!!!:

I saw that dust storm this am on the Net, and my first thought was that Palin REALLY f***s up EVERYthing she touches, doesn’t she? I don’t think they ever had such a massive storm – until the grifter-par-excellence hit their state…

  • brbr2424:

You can get the free kindle app for the iphone. I’ll do that to buy the single.

  • themom:

Doesn’t the most recent Harry Potter movie release that same day? No problem …..most of SP’s good christian supporters would most likely boycott the graphic imagination of a novelist’s fiction which has not based the genre on lies.

  • Desert Dog:

Hey Joe! We live about four miles away from the Palin compound in North Scottsdale….(we are away right now and missed the storm). But we have driven by it a few times and can get you directions anytime you need them.
Let us know when you are in town and we’ll even buy dinner! I think she may just move there at some point to get some “state cred” and residence and then run for Johnny’s seat in 2016. Just a thought.

  • Compound Abottadad Arizona:

I guess Joe then that you have read about “Sarah Palin appears to have been a victim of mortgage fraud, after she invested in a company that paid $1.7 million for an Arizona home with a title tainted by the so-called “robo-signer” scandal.”

Here for the first time ever she actually is a legitimate victim but yet she hasn’t shown any of her usual outrage over something that really happened.

  • Mrs. Tarquin Biscuitbarrel:

Aughhh! No iPhone, just a BlackBerry!

  • mistah charley, ph.d.:

there’s free downloadable software Kindle for the PC

  • Kimberly:

Joe do have a thought on why Bristol abandoned the house in Maricopa? No way she would need an extra $1,400 a month so bad she would go through the trouble of vacating just to make a few bucks while she is suppose to be filming in L.A.? Was she about to get pinched for having a house in Arizona but still collecting PFD in Alaska? Was she lying on her latest tax returns she is an Alaskan so she would not have to pay income taxes and her AZ house was to blatant a fraud to cover? Any idea what gives?

  • mitch:

    Mistah Charlie:
I emailed you a few weeks ago discussing our shared interest in R.Crumb. I even attatched a rare drawing of Mr. Natural on a smiling tractor. (I have a collection of original Zap’s going back to 1968.) Anyway, you made me feel like Flaky Foont by not answering. Sob!
BTW I also go by mitchethekid

  • MissSunshine:

Good for you, Joe! I look forward to reading any thoughts you have on her relocation to Arizona. I am surprised she did not choose Texas or South Carolina.

  • DKey:

Joe’s right. It began with Gabrielle Giffords and the crosshairs. Then came the fires and now dust storms that look like they were CGI’d like scenes from “The Mummy.” (Grizzly Mummy?) So what’s next for the fair State of Jan Brewer? Of John McCain, who brought the Harpy onto the national scene? Frogs? Locusts? And, by moving to Arizona did Sarah, like Russell Crowe said in the gory opening scenes of the film, “Gladiator,” “unleash Hell?”

Maybe she can call her friend, Pastor Moothy, who casts out “Devils.” Hopefully it won’t effect Arizona State’s athletic teams, the “Sun Devils.”

  • GG:

IMHO, I think she moved there to be with boyfriend “Gino.” According to gossip, she hooked up with an old boyfriend, and Gino dumped her. Looks like she no longer had an interest in living there, so she went back to AK and is now trying to rent the place.

  • Tom:

i was looking at arizona because as i get older i need warm weather year round.

but is this really there all there is to do there??

    yikes!…lol

but seriously…i doubt i could live in any state where the people make palin comfortable and at home………

  • Flying Pig Ranch:

We’ve been looking for a warm place to retire. Dust storms, wildfires, rattlesnakes, scorpions, rabid Republicans and the occasional flash flood. Perhaps, we should just stay in Kansas. Tornadoes, Brownback, the Phelps Family, and other weird assorted bible thumpers that could be armed and dangerous. There’s no place like home……

  • Tservo:

The SE of the US is quite tolerable, we get a winter, but it is usually a mid one.

  • KatieAnnieOakley:

Also heard that $arah waved a Confidentiality Agreement under his nose to sign before he could date Bri$tol further and he chose to beat feet…

  • grace creek:

    Tax shelter?

  • KatieAnnieOakley:

West Coast; central California on the pacific (Santa Maria area) is ideal. Not too hot, not too cool, mostly sunny.

  • Ann:

But you’re not thinking of renting the place next door, are you? 🙂 And you’re a brave soul to even consider sitting through this “documentary.” I can barely make it through 30 seconds of that voice.

  • carollt:

I remember commenting to my husband when we saw Sarah’s blood libel comment on the news that Sarah is toast. I also see that comment as a turning point for Sarah. Her poll numbers plunged after that and have never recovered. Indeed, they seem to get worse with each new poll.

She made the shooting all about her. She was the victim. She should have taken Roger Ailes advice and shut her mouth. But Sarah is not capable of common sense; she only talks about it on TV.

Nicole Wallace, who worked for McCain, predicted long ago that Sarah would be the cause of her own downfall. How right she was.

So, what happened to God helping you Sarah? Didn’t Bristol recently say that God was on your side? Well, I don’t know about all that, but I do know this: it could be that you have been dancing with the devil.

Keep us updated on the kindle Joe; I am very interested in purchasing a kindle and I was looking for an excuse to justify the expenditure.

  • crystalwolfakacaligrl:

free kindle app for PC, also, too from Amazon 🙂

  • crystalwolfakacaligrl:

She is organizing them! She has too. To “Ginn” herself up! She claimed not to have involvement in the EpicFail “unDEFEATED”,
She claimed to have never before seen all these Celebs comments but she has commented on them time & time again.
She has to Ginn it up to make it see she is running, to grift from her idiots4sarah! Then she can claim, some family BS,
    “TriG needs me”
or Piper, Willard, or gasp Toad!

  • crystalwolfakacaligrl:

cont. So I can’t possibly run…maybe 2016…! (grifting, grifting, crank up the paylin grifting machine….)

  • Dis Gusted:

“So, what happened to God helping you Sarah? ”

GOD is telling her to Go HOME! She came to Boston – God sent tornadoes – she moved to AZ, God sent dust storms and wild fires….

He’s giving her a message alright, but she’s NOT listening.

  • Thisby:

“Dust storms, wildfires, rattlesnakes, scorpions, rabid Republicans and the occasional flash flood.” Apart from the scorpions, that pretty much describes what we left behind in Wyoming to retire in Arizona last year. That, plus nine months of winter driving and temps in the double digits below freezing. I’ll take the scorpions. At least you can spray for them or stomp on them, which is more than I can say for Republicans.

  • Joe,,
Well, at least Sarah isn’t moving to Las Vegas. Property values have plummeted enough in the Silver State.

  • KatieAnnieOakley:

Will the last Palinbot to leave C4P please turn the lights out? Thank you!

  • KatieAnnieOakley:

Lights OFF, turn the lights OFF!

  • mitch:

I responded. I think you will enjoy it. Check it out.

  • Bretta:

    Home?
    Heavens forfend!
Do not send her back to Alaska.
    We do not want her.

  • mitch:

YOU are a tease! I complied with your request to email you. Twice. Being a wolf myself (and I change colors) I won’t come knocking again. Unless, of course, you comply and quit fighting my will.

  • Jeanabella:

    Joe,
I was listening as usual to BBC the other night and your name was mentioned in regard to your book “The Selling of The President”. The interview was about a newly released DVD on same subject and they were talking how it was in 1960’s when White wrote “protectively” about the President. I was half asleep but when I heard your name & book mentioned I paid attention. Basically, they were comparing the way writers used to cover up for people in high office, not reporting on their peccadilloes as in the case of Kennedy and others, compared to the more complete coverage of the subject as in your writing.
I’ve finished Fatal Vision and just read Stewarts’ “Tangled Webs” and just ordered your “Never Enough” and “Rogue”
I did ask Amazon to put all your books on Kindle, btw.

  • Star:

Kindle is ready …Ha read about Toad blaming Hollywood Stars for showing what a dimwit $creech is…

  • Joe:

    Jeanabella:

Thanks so much for this comment. I’m grateful.

    –Joe

  • Liz I.:

A Kindle single on Sarah Palin’s Arizona? Brilliant, Joe, absolutely brilliant! I didn’t think I’d EVER buy a Kindle single, but I can’t wait to buy this one!

  • Chris:

Oh Joe, there ya go stressing out the sicko quitter gov, again, lol……. You have my blessing, I’d buy it and I know I’d enjoy every sentence. Bring it on, it’s a good idea!

  • KatzKids:

Naw, she wouldn’t stoop to a mere Senatorial job (emphasis job). It would require too much work and no credit. After all – she’s Queen Esther, bound to be Queen of the World – in her own diseased mind.

  • KatzKids:

Hawaii is lovely and warm. It’s also a very blue state.

  • Lynne:

Grizzly Mummy…ohmygod, I love it I love it I love it! Can we keep it? Can we use it? Thank you thank you. I laughed until I almost spilled my wine.

  • Lynne:

    No Kidding!!

  • Sue:

I was kinda thinking seeing her movie to, wearing my red suit, glasses, a bumpit and push-up bra. And laughing hysterically at the scenes with the celebrities “seeking the death of her children”, the mauled zebra, the knight with the arrows, and anytime she said anything hypocritical. But I don’t think it’s going to be showing near me. And I don’t know where to find pot.

  • mitch:

Hahahaha! Lets gang up on this sheep in wolf’s clothing. I think her avatar is a phony. A fake. “Oh please email me mitchethekid!” “Please”.
This isn’t my 1st rodeo honey-bun. You want me? Come and get me.
    In the meantime get real.
(Even though I like your posts and am flattered that you want to contact me. 🙂

  • Sue:

When she came to MA, so did the tornado. We don’t get tornadoes here. Yo Sarah! God IS talking to you! Why aren’t you listening? Have you blocked His e-mail address?

  • Sue:

She’d be biting the hand that feeds her by whining about it. Big bankers, free market, deregulation…she’s been justifying these tactics all along. She can’t say it’s ok if they do it to everyone else but her. Then her deluded supporters wouldn’t drain their savings to pay for her losses.

  • Nat:

The queen of whine is upset over a Brit tabloid saying she cried at her movie premier. Claude have mercy! No one would have noticed or cared but she had to be in the limelight again. Casey Anthony was taking up too much of her space….lol. What’s wrong with crying seeing your supposed accomplishments on the big screen. This woman is beyond dumb!

  • Flying Pig Ranch:

Good one!!! There is no perfect place to retire unless one is super rich and can afford multiple homes. I would bet if we were at that income level we wouldn’t be worrying about rabid Repubs….they would have our vote. Not all Boomers that will be retiring soon are wealthy. We are going to need to squash our own scorpions.

  • Reality Check:

Yeah, this beg-a-thon to get people to show up is a big tip off that they aren’t receiving a flood of requests for tickets. Don’t her supporters ever get tired of making fools of themselves? Over at C4P, one poster was frantically begging people to divert their CHURCH TITHES to SarahPAC! Pretty obvious what their true religion is, and it ain’t Christianity.

  • Reality Check:

I personally believe her political career died after the Katie Couric interview, but for sure after she quit her job to become a crass celebrity.

  • Reality Check:

    Ha ha ha! Good one.

  • CariboBarbie Palin:

O/T, but I can’t help myself. I just finished “Never Enough”. What a good read… I couldn’t put it down! I love your writing style and cannot wait for September when Amazon delivers my copy of The Rogue. In the meantime, I’ll be reading “Going to Extremes”.

    Thanks for all you do!

    Barbie

  • Nefer:

I think you are correct. I can’t see her settling for being not only just one of a group of 100, but a very junior one at that. My understanding is that senators are expected to pay their dues before being tapped for high-level committees, let alone chair positions. I don’t think anyone gets to waltz right in and start at the top.

  • GG:

I’d buy the Kindle Single in a heartbeat!

  • Rene:

I was stunned at the suggestion of using money tithes to buy blocks of tickets to pull the wool over people the film is popular. The statement that a pastor would understand it is for a good cause. The disconnect that God, Jesus or church leader would understand calculated deception, dishonesty, false witness, manipulating reality is mind boggling.

When people believe cheating to win, playing their fellow man as a fool, in the call for righteous Christian leader to save us our nation is in serious trouble.

It is pathetic those supporters have limited thinking and cheating, pretense, deception is at their core. They are the true fools to not recognize this has not been working for them.

  • Reality Check:

I would actually like to see some of these bots actually approach their pastor with this suggestion. And be a fly on the wall for the reaction. However, I suspect a good deal of them don’t even go to church, just like Sarah doesn’t.

  • Flying Pig Ranch:

Joe, any plans for a visit with the gals on “The View?”

Your book has been ordered and I think I would enjoy reading some of your earlier work. I have been wanting a Kindle and I have a good excuse to purchase one now.

  • Joe:

You never know. I just might turn up there. Still too soon to announce any specific dates and shows.

    –Joe

I’ve Been Banned from Sarah Palin Documentary

Uninvited to “Undefeated”! I’ve just received a foolhardy note from a public relations executive, Keith Appell of CRC Public Relations, who tells me that now I am “not invited” to the Sarah Palin documentary “The Uninvited,” which is having a critics’ screening tomorrow in Manhattan that is, and here I measure my words, going to be laughed off the screen by whatever hacks show up. Appell has banned me from the screening and not even bothered to pretend that this is for any other reason than payback for my painful-but-honest pan of a rough cut of the film in The Post .

  • deennaa:

Oh that was a choice commentary Mr. McGinniss! Especially the coup de grace point on Gabrielle Giffords. I think that and the outrageous and ignoble blood libel whine really set in stone the demise of her phony disgusting over reaching unmerited clawing aspirations towards a pretense political life. Its too bad she didn’t read any of your books – “any of ’em. all of ’em”. She might have “quit” those arduous aspirations waaay back there in Wasilla. There is the possibility she might have recognized there would be no hiding from your razor sharp depth’s of research and then talent to put those facts into the most riveting reads one could imagine. Expose’s to end all expose’s. she could have spared this nation (and its already lowered standing in the world) the entire embarrassment and agony of her horrid shark’s game. But I digress. she does not have profound self awareness. she doesn’t have SIMPLE self awareness.

  • Jame doe seeker:

Senators have many rules of decorum (including addressing one another and the President with respect, which I can’t remotely visualize her learning or doing) and of parliamentary procedure (which I can’t remotely imagine her learning or following). Additionally, being a Senator requires fund-raising to the tune of several thousands of dollars per day, and I can’t imagine her even knowing how to being learning how to do that in a way that would be palatable to her constituents. Even though they have short work weeks in session, there are huge travel loads and many late-night hours, and records are open. Also, too, I can’t begin to imagine her high school buddies being up to the job of staffing a US Senate office. So for all of the foregoing reasons, I say: No. Way. On. Earth. And: thank God! 😉

  • Jame doe seeker:

The title to the Arizona home was not in her name, but in the name of an organization (Safari International?). I wonder if they, and not Palin, are the ones burned, assuming there are any title issues? And if there aren’t any title issues, what will they do now with this vacant house (since I don’t really see her living in it any time soon)? Is there something in this picture that is bigger than what we appear to have seen already?
