VF’s James Wolcott Takes Note of Sarah’s Next Crusade

Wolcott seems amused by Sarah’s choice of Peter Schweizer as her new “foreign policy advisor.” But don’t take this appointment lightly. Clearly, it signals a new direction for Sarah: an all-out Christian militant war against the Evil Empire of Disney.

Let “Pussyfoot” Obama fight the war on terror. Sarah will lead the ethnic cleansing of Disney theme parks around the world to assure that no traces of dreaded homosexuality remain.

  • Reality Check:

I’m sure he has odious conservative opinions, but I just checked out an Amazon description of this book. It talks about how, among other things, Schweizer reveals that Disney relies on a lot of sweat shop labor to manufacture their promotional merchandise. Nothing wrong with exposing that.

    Stop. Disney. Now.

How dare they attempt to bring smiles and laughter to the world regardless of race, color, creed or sexual orientation.

Wait a minute, that actually sounds like a great idea!

    Never mind.

  • Melly:

He likes to twist and turn in his writing. What the heck were the last 2 grafs about? Now I have to waste precious minutes today wondering who this conservative lesbian is.

  • shandee:

Probably referring to Tammy Bruce a gay conservative talk show host, Rebecca Mansour’s BFF.

  • kate:

“Gosh, I hope Palin’s hiring of such a squeamishly gay-wary advisor doesn’t cost her the endorsement of A Conservative Lesbian (no link) and those of similar yearning innocence.” – um…@heytammybruce, he’s talking to you! bwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

  • Sally:

The endorsement of gays is the least of Palin’s concerns. By late summer, there won’t be a tea party ‘patriot’ who will endorse this loose cannon either. I hope she has fun spending her own money trying to avoid debates and the real press remaining in this country. She truly thinks she can run on her name, her looks, and her lies. She needs medication and a strait jacket.

Let’s see, would that be taking over arts and entertainment? The whole family drama has been a distraction from the seven mountain agenda. Bruce Wilson’s blog has lots of information. Here’s excerpts from “The Palin Scandal in The Living Room.”

The lack of scandal is itself scandalous.

Below, in a new 10 minute documentary video, I examine, in the context of its heavily anti-Semitic undertone, the New Apostolic Reformation’s recently launched program encouraging and equipping Christians to begin taking control of business and finance: “The Seven Mountains Mandate” (or “7M Mandate”). (see link below for video)

All but several of the myriad of journalists, pundits and ostensible experts weighing in on the nature and significance of Sarah Palin’s religious beliefs and associations were oblivious to the very existence of the particular and easily identifiable religious movement Palin is tightly associated with.

High level leaders in that movement directly tied to vice presidential candidate Palin were on public record urging Christians to ‘infiltrate’ key sectors of society such as government and business and proposing a program of religious and social cleansing in which entire population groups would convert to the form of Christianity espoused by the New Apostolic Reformation or else be ‘displaced’, driven from ‘the land’.

I don’t remember that list of seven, I know one is government, and then there’s media, business, family, education, arts and entertainment, see, I forgot one, banking, maybe? As a Christian, I fear God’s judgment more than a group forcing religious error upon me. The US Constitution acknowledges the Creator three times, and says no respect of religion. Yet, ask a Christian about the Sabbath, Jesus’ Sabbath, the day He observed while He lived and after He died on this earth. The day God commanded to remember which Jesus obeyed. Why the Lord’s Day, who changed it? My observance of Jesus’ Sabbath separates me from other Christians, including this group trying to take over.

  • Joe:

One thing I can say about THE ROGUE: I deal in considerable detail with the New Apostolic Reformation and Sarah Palin’s involvement with it.
To me, it’s the scariest part of the book.

  • gigiz:

The NAR, along with other evangelical groups, are also my biggest concern as they drive the GOP to impose faith-based laws and erode our civil liberties. For the most part, our incompetent media turns its collective head.

I eagerly await the release of THE ROGUE.

  • voiceinwind:

I’ll be looking forward to reading THE ROGUE. Thanks.

    Okay, THAT was funny.
If you ever make it back up to Alaska, specifically Wasilla, you owe me a cup of joe (coffee).
It was only a 12 oz., but dang, I’m still laughing.
