Poor Piper No Better Today//UPDATE: Piper Photo Album of “My Summer Vacation?”

UPDATE:

Someone could–thus no doubt will–soon post an album of all “Pouty Piper” photos from this latest example of Sarah’s willful mistreatment of the very children about whose privacy she expressed such concern last summer, when I moved in next door.

I hope this photo will be included:

Is that, “I pledge allegiance,” or “Mommy, I’m feeling sick again?”

(By the way, don’t miss that clown in the back with a Statu(t)e of Liberty crown on his head:  a stereotypical, not to say archetypal Palin supporter.)

Having a granddaughter Piper’s age, I not only sympathize, but empathize.

I also can’t help but be reminded of Sarah’s faux-outrage about me a year ago, as she swung into mama grisly mode on the Glenn Beck show.

In regard to my having become her summer neighbor, Beck asked Sarah:

“Do you feel, as a woman, do you feel violated?”

She said:

“I feel more protective than ever in terms of my kids.  Any mom would.  Just wantin’ to bring your family even closer and wrap your arms around ‘em and not let the infringement on their rights and privacy be so overwhelming…”

Well, hell of a job this year, Sarah, protecting Piper’s “rights and privacy,” upon which, incidentally I never infringed in the least.

Scenes like the above make me all the more eager for Sept. 20 and publication of THE ROGUE, when I’ll finally blow the lid off this whole Sarah-as-AnyMom sham, not to mention a number of others.

    Piper is not impressed.

Donald is saying that the meeting over lousy Pizza was a discussion about the Presidential run. He has come to the conclusion that Sarah wants him to run for president? Also that loads of other people do too, but NBC is giving him a lot of money and does he want to turn it down.

Sounds like he is getting as cagey as Sarah. A third Party run when the Republicans finally dump her, for being the devisive spoiler she always was?

  • Susan:

The continual speculation is mind bending. I feel like I am in the middle of a fact free tornado.

Poor Piper. Although her insolence is repellent, I want to wrap my arms around her. I feel her behavior is a cry for not just attention but something considerably deeper and reaffirming. I find Sarah to be stunningly cruel and neglectful of this childs needs. I can only imagine that Piper’s life ahead will be a hard row to hoe.

And to less important matters, I am relieved to see Sarah has covered her freakishly large upper arms.

  • msf:

Read somewhere The Donald is up to his neck in mafia associations & has some real financial worries. According to The Donald he is practically a genius. He’s a really, really smart guy…..could have fooled me.

  • CassieJeep:

Just imagine what Piper has to put up with when they’re back on the bus. Sarah is expending so much energy trying NOT to snark, snap or bite and to appear likeable, that the performance must be exhausting!

I imagine Sarah just let’s loose when the bus doors close and Piper can’t get away from it.

Any news where the rest of the family got to?

  • Joe,

Sarah Palin also “re-created” the apology of poor Piper to the media, due to a sullen Piper, who ruined this scene the first time.

Therefore, a short while later, it was time for “take 2.”

Even if the flowers were the same.

“Even the flowers were the same.”

  • carollt:

What happened to Todd and Bristol? They seem to be MIA. Todd should have taken Piper with him. Piper does not look like she is having any fun at all. Why isn’t she at home going to school. School is still in session. But it is quite obvious that Sarah values ignorance. She wears her ignorance like a badge of honor.

I read that Willow will be home schooled. I feel sorry for her as well. What will she learn in Sarah’s homeschool? Not much judging by what passes for education in Sarah’s world. I see just today she referred to the Constitution as the Constitutions as if each amendment was a separate ‘constitution’. Get a clue lady; you might think yourself to be highly intelligent, but most Americans see a know-it-all who knows nothing.

Sarah prays for herself; I pray for those poor kids. I am quite sure that Sarah promised Piper she would have a great time, but Sarah lied. Sarah always lies.

  • carollt:

How much is the Queen being paid to wear that TLC shirt? What’s next, a Nike contract?

Actually, in Wasilla, school is out for the summer.

Thank goodness Oslo made it home. He’s a handsome fellow.

  • msf:

“Her insolence is repellent”…I’ll have to remember that phrase. One look at Piper’s face is like looking at a blueprint of the All American Palin Family Clown Show. This is a terribly dysfunctional family. A special thanks to MSM for continuing to push the lie forward. When in doubt…Cut…take two.

Piper does not have a chance with this monster alone.

    FREE PIPER!!!!

Former Palin campaign aide Frank Bailey, whose new tell-all book Blind Allegiance just hit shelves, says he witnessed Sarah “mocking, berating and terrifying” Bristol.

Bailey explains that Bristol’s revelation that she was pregnant demonstrated how the mother-daughter duo were often at odds. Sarah reportedly said to him at the time, “I left the decision [to keep or abort] to her, and Bristol wants to keep it.” But Sarah soon decided she wanted to bury the story, so she suggested to Bristol that she give up the baby for adoption–to Sarah! (Bristol’s ex, Levi Johnson, has also previously said “Sarah kept mentioning this plan.”)

In his book, Bailey claims Sarah basically abandoned her children while she was on the vice presidential campaign trail, not seeing them for weeks at a time. “I recall one day when Bristol phoned…crying while Sarah sat in my office,” remembers Bailey. “Sarah rolled her eyes. I felt pained for Bristol.”

He adds, “The Bristol I knew was a kind child, thrown into the cauldron of politics against her will.”

But did Sarah care about her kids’ longing for a mom who cared and who was around? Nope! “Bristol’s mad at me,” Sarah emailed Bailey. “Says this isn’t fun. Too bad.”

  • One thing we should keep in mind when looking at these photos, is that poor Piper is not used to the kind of humidity she’s enduring in the NE. She’s unhappy for sure, but I suspect she’s also terribly uncomfortable physically. The air-conditioned bus is a rolling prison with the entourage, and off-the-bus is smelly, hot and humid. Also, she could actually be picking up on the just-out-of-sight tourist hostilities toward the CircusTourBandBul*sh*tBus. Can only hope they try this act out in Boston on the “Freedom Trail”.

    TLC–another sponsorship write-off?

  • carollt:

Thanks for the information Joe. It is good to know that Piper has not been pulled from school. Do you know where Todd went?

  • lilly lily:

No. It isn’t only the weather. Piper is her mothers prisoner.

Today is a delight. The heat spell broke, and it is breezy and invigorating. Absolutly gorgeous June day in the Northeast.

This attitude became more and more Pipers norm after the first book tour where she was Trigs nanny. (she loved Trig and loved caring for him from what I saw.)

Piper is trending Number 2 on Yahoo. I thought, gosh Sarah will be jealous another daughter is more popular than her until I read the PR spew. This is what Palin Camp is advertising on Yahoo, “Piper Palin is officially having the best vacation ever”.

  • KarenJ:

Just imagine what her mother and her mother’s clothes smell like.

Really, those reporters and cameramen could save themselves a lot of trouble by staking out the dry cleaning/public washing/drying machine establishments.

(I’ll bet THAT’S where Todd is)

  • Susan:

Ok, I’ll apologize in advance for my impropriety…..Sarah appears to not know where her heart is actually located. Looking at the first picture it impresses me that Palin hand is headed not for her heart but for her right breast. Maybe she was checking for an inconvient leak in her water bra, or rearranging her breast prothesis…I’m not sure which article of illusion she relies on.

  • I don’t think I said it’s only the weather. I said, it certainly can be a factor. I remember a day at Bunker Hill monument where I thought my ten-year-old would expire. Acclimation from NW to NE is a bit of a trick and jumping in the pool is an absolute necessity at the end of the day. Hope Piper has a pool. Really. And maybe some cohorts. That’s part of a vacation for a child.

  • Star:

$creeech speaks out of both sides of her mouth…Of course we all know that..

ZOMG! Happy birthday to me! September 20th is my birthday! Excellent timing, Joe, even if it’s inadvertent. 😀

  • Melly:

Fuckin’ A, Joe, blow it sky high.

  • Melly:

Hey, freakishly large upper-armed woman here, a bit sensitive to your comment.

  • Pam:

I am screaming this “why does scarah get to bash healthcare by Obama and Romney when her whole family is covered by government healthcare because Todd is native American” and nobody reports it.

  • Tservo:

I loved Jeanne’s piece! Piper is the star of this woebegone vacation. She represents the last, best chance for a Palin kid escape from crazy lady Mom.
Bristol has been altered and is in camp Palin. Poor Willow got her car keys taken and Palin is preparing a chasity belt and chain in her home ‘school’. Piper seems smart enough to figure a break from Palin prison.
Go Piper! You can do it!

  • mudmanor:

I only know she is extremely unaware of her child’s welfare. Something normal moms do not forget or blow off for an instant.

  • ManxMamma:

He’s always had financial worried. I just wish I had the same as he does or Sarah does! But I’d rather not be an idiot.

  • SusanC:

Very pleased Oslo has returned home. Has he told you where he went?

And…has Madame Palin made any comment about the Massachusetts tornadoes? Or was she too busy calling Mitt Romney a communist? One of her bots was positive she’d rush to Springfield to help with search and rescue.

  • lilly lily:

I was out in one of our gorgeous parks having a picnic dinner, enjoying this beauty of a June day. But, iot was getting a bit chilly. I think Sarahs clam bake will be quite cold near any water.

I am not a psychologist, but I feel that this child could be showing very early signs of depression. Children can become depressed as well as adults.

She is trapped in a situation of her mothers devising.

  • Kimberly:

    Just like those snowmobiles.

  • Kimberly:

Hot Damn she must have read Baily’s book. Wait until she gets a hold of Joe’s!!! Good God I hope Palin says something snarky about Elizabeth.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck: Sarah Palin ‘Manipulating’ Media Away From Mitt Romney

“If I had termites in my house, I’d get someone in there who could deal with it,” Hasselbeck said. “Mitt Romney, right now, his specialty is the economy. I’d have him in there. Here’s why we’re not hearing it: because Sarah Palin’s on a bus, and right now she’s manipulating, in terms of media attention.”

  • TruGal:

Joe. Joe. Joe. If I have to wait until September 20th for your book, I’m going to explode. Can’t the date somehow be moved up to…oh, I don’t know….JUNE 20th?? Please!

  • lilly lily:

My wish for Piper, that someone from Disney gives her a pair of ruby slippers, so she can click her heels and say “I wish I was home, I wish I was home.” and she would be whisked away from her mothers misbegotten Mystery Tour Bus and sent home or to some childs camp to enjoy a childs summer, not her mothers faked family outing.

It is downright pathetic as she glowers and scowls her way through the northeast as her mothers reluctant mascot.

  • CougInPortland:

    OOOOH, do I agree.

  • M. Aragon:

Again another picture that says it all: Sarah, smiling and lapping up all the attention, while poor Piper stands there frowning and glaring about. I hope that little girl gets to spend the rest of her summer playing in that pool at their new Arizona house. She’s earned it.

  • Anonymous By Choice:

The article on C for P is really odd. I think they have it backwards. What they don’t get is that there are many good reasons people do not want Sarah to run. If you read their comments, they all write as if they know her intimately. They are mad she’s not called Governor. Duh! She QUIT! They honestly think she will kick Obama at a debate. LOL they actually believe Sarah creamed Biden! With all that winking and refusing to answer questions and sentences that made NO sense????The woman doesn’t speak well or know much but they can’t see it! The sentence Joe has in this post is an example..”Just wantin blah blah! It’s not grammatically correct. She rarely is. And she’s clueless about what she doesn’t know and refuses to learn! Why wouldn’t Fox get rid of someone like this?” She makes Fox look bad wnd her ratings are not good . Her fans truly are delusional! What has happened to America that there are people who have such low standards.” They think Obama is afraid of her?!? I could go on but I won’t. It is scary over there!!
I’m glad Fox is turning on her, if that’s true. She may be shrewd at marketing herself, but she repeats the same tired talking points and sounds stupid. Why would they want that? But she and her fans just have to play the victim (again) and blame the messenger.
Those Peeeebots are going to be mighty upset if when they finally see that they were wrong about her all along. But will they ever see it even with the facts put in their face?
I feel terribly sorry for Piper and all her children for having to live in that dysfunctional world. Left is right. Black is white. Up is down. This is serious emotional abuse.

  • Freesia:

I just noticed something. It popped out at me while watching Lawrence O’Donnell

I was pulling dinner together so I can’t say for certain the location (Sarah was in a striped shirt and – skin tight – tailored skirt with her hair in the VP “sexy librarian” knot. New Hampshire? It struck me as Palin trying to look sexy conservativish).

Anyway, Sarah steps off the bus and immediately moves into the crowd with the big open maw, waving and working the crowd like it’s her purpose in life and all she lives for. But right behind her was Piper. Sarah didn’t even look back. Piper just stood there for beat looking fed up. I told my husband that A. the child shouldn’t be there and B. if she were her mother should have turned around and walked her into this group of strangers. Made sure her child was close and okay.

Sarah didn’t even look back. Piper just stood there on the bus step looking on and then stepped/hopped down and followed her mother like a trained dog.

What kind of mother subjects her little girl to such a moment in the first place, but if she does, doesn’t even stop to make sure her kid is near and feeling some security?

    Oh I know. Sarah Palin.

  • msf:

Oh what a sweet thought lilly lilly, but sadly if she clicked her ruby red slippers where would she go…where is home for her?

  • carollt:

CNN has a story detailing Sarah’s rendition of Paul Revere’s ride. Oh my God.

My maiden name is Chase. There are a lot of folks named Chase in New England. Aquilia came over in 1638. I feel I must speak for my ancestors. And I know the ancestors would say the same as myself, “Oh my God”. I am speechless.

  • shandee:

I couldn’t believe how they were talking about Roger Ailes. I’m sure he could take care of that little piece of work with both hands tied behind his back if he wanted to. They are delusional as usual…blinded by their queen.

On another note, we know that she wasn’t in NH today by coincidence because in the tweets leaked by RAM’s twitter buddy she let out how much Sarah hates Mitt. Purposely stealing his day is how she rolls.

  • Rene:

Joe, I like the sound of your conviction to blow the lid off. Is that like ripping the mask off?
This family vacation from hell serving one person is dredging up memories of how a grandparent treated my children. They promise the moon, do not deliver then have an arsenal of lies about targets to scapegoat. It is all the medias’ fault for ruining the family vacation not the parents having a political opportunistic agenda.
It must be crazymaking for a child to be told to be nice to the media since the mother has demonized them painted journalists as evil, liars. Now mommy dearest is engaging their attention.

  • Freesia:

I’m sorry – there’s a lot going on at my place all at the same time. Chaos. What are you referring to? I tried to do a quick search in the mayhem but couldn’t find it. (My mess up I’m sure).

What did she say about Paul Revere’s ride?

  • FrostyAK:

I worry about Piper. It is obvious that $P is paying NO attention to the 10 year old in the crowds.

Let’s hope nothing happens to the child. If it did then it would be all about $arah the victim, not about the poor neglected kid.

  • Wally:

How did Todd, BristoI and Willow escape the National Looney Tunes Family Summer Vacation?

Is there a back door on that shrink wrapped clown bus that they snuck out of?

Did anybody take a picture of Todd, Bristol and Willow crawling out of the bus window in the rear while Sarah was winking and flicking her tongue in and out while standing in the front of the bus?

  • omomma:

Piper Palin’s perpetual scowl is the icon for this political campaign bus tour. It should go down in history as the single most descriptive image. Still, you can’t help but feel some of this child’s pain.

  • omomma:

…taking the southern route, through Florida and Alabama…

  • Heidi3:

I just read that on Yahoo too, Kimberly. It’s the most disgusting spin I’ve ever seen. Worse yet, have you read all the comments such as, “What an adorable, sweet little girl – I’m glad she’s pushing those obnoxious reporters away to protect her Mom. You can tell she’s having the time of her life, and what a great family she has to be showing her our nation’s historical landmarks”. Whaaaaat?

Please tell me this isn’t happening! Or was there a Dog Whistle sent far and wide to start skewing the comments this way?

P.S. Joe – What a relief that Oslo came home to you – wonderful news!

  • omomma:

This could not be more clear. This child is asking, begging, demanding her mother’s attention. Is anyone mystified by the parent/child dynamic here?

  • Polly:

If you read Blind Allegiance.. I wouldn’t be surprised if those comments are written by paid SP staff, with different identities!!

  • Anonymous By Choice:

I agree with you. Sarah Palin is one sick in the head puppy. And this bus tour shows that. And that article about Roger Ailes shows very disturbed, grandiose delusional thinking.
She needs to be brought down because she is dangerous. Remember what was said in Game Change? She is a diva. She trusts no one.
Poor Piper. She hopefully has her own body guard? Being behind mommy dearest like that?

Don’t know if you know it Joe, but I, Daisydem, has been around these blogs a long, long, long, time (ask Gryphen, or AKM (as she is fondly known) … I can’t wait .. bring it on … I look forward to your book. As the mother of a son and a daughter, wife and office assistant for a very successful therapist who deals not only with relationships between couples but also family relationships and is an expert in teaching parenting classes at our church … I say with some second-hand authority .. she is horrible, bad, bad, parent!

  • Susan:

Sorry Melly, it is not my intention to offend you. I am not in the habit of judging people by their physical qualities, like many women I do not appreciate the physical attributes of women being used as standards of worth or esteem. In fact I find the trends in our culture embracing and promoting artifical standards and synthetic beauty disheartening and damaging.

I respect nothing about Sarah Palin. She is IMO a vile woman. And if there is truly evil in this world, I believe she personifies it. Her lies are part of the reason I consider her to be vile. She seems to lie about anything and everything. I happen to highly value honesty, in myself and others, and frankly do not find it difficult to choose to be honest. Her arms seem incompatible with the promoted declarations that she is a runner and a physical fitness buff. They represent to me yet another lie. My comment was directed at Palin, whose capacity and willingness to lie, prompted my derision. I understand why you would find it offensive, perhaps you’ll understand why I felt compelled to make it. With regards to Palin, I reserve my compassion for those that she has used and abused, and has inflicted pain and suffering on.

  • lee:

I have several granddaughters Piper’s age, and I can say, their mothers would never put their daughters out there like this sorry excuse for a woman is doing. It hurts my heart to see the pain in Piper’s face. After reading three of your books this spring, including the book about Jeffrey McDonald, I know you will nail this bitch. She is his equal of crazy.
I do not get to see my children and grandchildren very much because they live so far away so every visit is a blessing for me. I spend a lot of my time reading, and my local library has been great about getting your books for me. I am hoping the same about your new book. I am going to ask. I was able to get Mr. Dunn’s book from this library, and am almost finished with it. Hopefully, others will take note and check it out. The more who read about her the better. People sure as hell are not going to hear the truth from the media. I look forward to hearing your interviews in September. May you always have peace.

Sarah: Please read the comments on this blog and others and ask yourself, “Is all this worth the pain on my daughter’s face? Is there anything I can do to make this a safer, more wholesome experience for my little girl?” Truly, although many of the commenters and readers on these blogs don’t want you to become president, many, many of them see the distress and dysfunction displayed by your children and wish you and Todd would do what you can to save their childhoods so they can grow up to be happy and functioning adults. In addition to Piper, we sincerely hope you and your family will put all the resources available to you into the care and encouragement of little Trig so he may grow up to reach his full potential with the benefit of the many therapeutic exercises and experiences that will give him better capabilities for interacting in this world.

  • msf:

Just a curious thought. Since most of us think it’s completely inappropriate for Piper to be on this so called family vacation… if Palin did the right thing & allowed her to return home (where ever that is) how could you continue to define this as a family vacation since her entire family will have abandoned ship. This is just so ridiculous. MSM needs to get a clue.

  • themom:

I remember as a 10 year-old child, one of fourteen children, I would be delighted to accompany my das as he ran errands on Saturday mornings. However, five minutes into the search through the aisles of the local hardware store, as my dad chatted with the clerks about DIY home projects, I knew I was bored crazy. Tugging on my dad’s shirtsleeve, fidgeting and making imploring faces were my cues to him. It was just the time with him that I sought. Witnessing Piper’s situation reminds me of my own angst and I do understand her behavior. I was lucky though, as BOTH of my parents showed their love to ALL of their children….. even when it wasn’t convenient.

  • Cassie from MD:

Rent or download “Fierce Creatures”, a very funny spoof about keeping a zoo alive by auctioning off animal exhibits to corporate sponsors. Perhaps, that is Sarah’s goal for her “historic tour of America”, – you know, scoping out Ft. McHenry to become the “Ft. McDonald’s McHenry”, the “Statute” of Liberty to become the “Liberty Insurance Statue”, the US Archive’s Exhibit to be sponsored by Pizza Hut…It is a big country… and she is set on pimping our history for profit.

  • carrieoki:

It’s official. Sarah Palin is a #MINO mother in name only.

  • carollt:

Like it or not, I think that when Sarah Palin called the MSM the lame-stream media, she was not too far off the mark. And doesn’t the Queen have the lame-stream media right where she wants them.

I am not so sure that Sarah Palin is fooling Americans; I am very sure that she is making a fool out of the lame-stream media, Sarah may not know much, but she know what she knows – her words, not mine. And that is what makes our Mrs. Palin dangerous.

  • CDNpotpourri:

    LOL! Fanned.

  • Psalm023:

Wow, can’t wait for the book. She is a hypocrite. She can’t believe her actions are wrong, ever. How many of our kids would not have been able to withstand that kind of trip, and would have had that same frustrated tired bored look. There’s a problem here. Sarah, the pretty smart celebrity who is mobbed by adoring girls and boys Piper’s age, wanting Sarah’s autograph and Sarah so totally enjoying it, without a thought about her daughter standing there watching and getting nary a nod of acknowledgement; how it must make her feel left out and isolated. This is no fun for a 10 year-old – she is on display, her face, her frowns, her needs are all on display by cameras and her mother seems oblivious and stands there teaching history lessons.

I wouldn’t have put any child through that. The whole Heath tagging along thing is strange too. Not the fact that they travel together as a family but the fact that they would participate, enable this charade of a circus tour in the first place. Why does this turn my stomach?

Is there anybody out there that can’t see as clear as day that piper needs help. What is she going to have to do to get her parents attention? That child better get some serious couch time before something very bad happens.

How many times have really bad things happened regarding young children that suffer from neglect and after it happens we always hear “the signs were there, but they were ignored”

I do believe that I am seeing the signs of a very troubled child.

If sarah was 1/2 as good a mother as she is a grifter…

those would be some awesome kids.

Wake up Sarah, or Todd, or Chuck, or Sally, or someboby that can help that child before it’s to late.

  • anonymous:

Piper is heart breaking. She was such a happy little girl not that long ago when her mother was nominated for VP. That little girl is long gone.

I also had a really crappy mother and I know that my face looked like that when I was young, but not when I was ten. I didn’t get that angry until I was 13 or so. Piper will not have a happy life.

I didn’t think there was anything that SP could do that would make me dislike her more than all the lies, hypocracy, grifting, cheating, etc. that have gone on since her days as Wasilla mayor. But seeing what she has done to that happy little Piper is perhaps the worst of all.

  • Susan:

I think he went to pick up Trig for the “See my Downs Syndrome Baby Tour” in Iowa. They allowed him to stay home until he is needed. Very likely they will switch out Piper as she is past her sell date.

  • jcinco:

I doubt if there is any chance in the world that sarah will ever be debating President Obama. If she somehow does end up in the running for potus the republican debates will finish her off. As far as her rabid rube fans thinking she performed well in the vp debate, we had by then had a glimpse of how dense she is, the fact that she wasn’t playing with her own poop on stage made her exceed all expectations.
When the ram emails came out wasn’t there something about Romney’s people going for poor wittle sawah? If that’s true he certainly has a reason to go for her now. Mitt Romney has a lot of money, a lot of ambition and support of all mormons. She might have made a major mistake by crossing Mitt, we can only hope. She has, so far, had amazing luck as far as crossing some fairly important people in her hickish, mean girl fashion without suffering much consequence. I doubt if her luck will hold out much longer.
I’m looking forward to reading your book Joe. I read Fatal Vision years ago and find you to be a compelling author. I appreciate your efforts in trying to end the reign of her heinous! 🙂
    your fan,

  • Mrs. Tarquin Biscuitbarrel:

Oh, Rocky, it makes me even sadder that your dog is more loving and caring than the so-called “adults” in one of America’s most famous families.

No matter what Piper does later in life, the photos of this ghastly hegira will remain as evidence of… well, I don’t envision Piper enrolling at Mat-Su Community College…

In “Sarah Palin: An American Woman” by FOX (with footage by Elan Frank), Piper declares her ambition to be “a babysitter” when she grows up (this is 4/8-9; 2008. How did she know that would be one of her duties in the governor’s mansion, and on the campaign trail?

    carollt, you are so right.

Every day that passes that the press refuses to dig further, not only into the questionable origins of Tri-G, but into any of her other “gates”… well, that’s a day that she has won, and such days continue to fuel her.
